    Awesome video! It helped me do this in an hour. Last time, I paid a plumber nearly $400 to change it out for me. I felt like the biggest chump in the world. Lol anyway… thanks a lot man!

    This model is notorious for leaking from the base. I’ve had a few of these in rental units and they have all done the exact same usually in about a year. Grab a 3/32 allen key. take off handle. remove plastic cap. you will see a hex nut that has come loose. that nut compresses the mixing cartridge down to seal the the water from the inlet lines. just tighten it down and re-assemble. thats it! no more leaking

      Thanks, CHodge. Your fix seems to have solved the problem in my almost-4-year-old faucet. Though Moen gives a "lifetime warranty", this problem would have cost them money and me some waiting time.

    My wife, Lata Pai just commented and gave you full praise for your video. I just want to add a few comments of my own. For the nut that holds the faucet from the bottom, I used a (closed end) wrench (mine was 5/8 inch) to loosen the nut. I found it hard to loosen it by tapping it with a screw driver (as it is in an awkward position to do so from under the sink). I also like your recommendation to get the Moen brand where all of the water pipes are already installed. The job was very easy. The only awkward part was the removal of the nut that held the faucet to the counter top. Thank you very much for your Video.

    Thank you so much for making this video! You’ve totally helped me out! I’m actually replacing my own kitchen faucet right now, and I bought the stainless version of this exact same faucet. My plumbing is also wonky underneath so I’ve got extensions and adapters to my water supply too. But that said, this is my first time installing a faucet, and your video was awesome! Thanks again! 🔧👍

    Unfortunately this model Brecklyn has some issues. I replaced it twice. First time was with a reliable plumber and after a few months it started leaking at the base. I thought I had a defective faucet. So I exchanged it for a new one, same model. I installed it the second one and again after 3-4 months it started leaking at the base again.

    Thanks for the video! I'm looking at the same model, and I was wondering if the handle still seats OK when it sits on the base? If you turn the faucet with your hand, does the handle kinda fall out of place? Had issues with a Pfister model. Thanks again

    What's the purpose of the second nut? Optional?

    • @mehomeboymi411
      @mehomeboymi411 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The second nut is to be installed on the bottom of the threaded shaft to protect the hose from rough edges as you pull it out.
