This is the best SEE UNDER THE SINK demonstration for installing a Faucet on TH-cam. Thanks so very much for this! Now I need another tool that doesn't come with my Non-Moen faucet.
Just replaced my kitchen faucet Used this video as a step by step guide. Was so simple. Saved me a call to a plumber. Thanks a lot. Keep makin your videos. They are a great tool for home owners
Great step by step. Our old (builder grade faucet ) suddenly started leaking tonight. Went to HomeDepot bought this faucet and installed it in under 20 mins with the help of this video. Great stuff!
Thanks, Dan! Your tutorial is super helpful. I'm changing my 34-year-old Moen soon and I'm worried about everything seized up under the sink. The old tap is leaking and we've replaced the cartridges twice in the last two years. Time for a new one!
Gentlemen did an excellent job of demonstrating faucet install. I purchased a WaterRidge model and can see from the contents of the box it will be 10x easier to install because of this video.
Great video. This was very helpful for installing a new tap in my kitchen, just moments ago. The instructions in the box are just a bunch of pictures, which are a little confusing. Watching you do this, as well the tips you gave were just what I needed.
This video was well laid out and easy to follow. Cameraman did a good job showing all the steps. Only suggestion would be to have Dan illustrate where the "cartridge" is located that he mentioned which would have been helpful.
Thank you so much for the excellent tutorial. I can't tell you how much this helped to give me courage I needed to change the faucet myself. Keep up the good work!
Super video. Tomorrow I will install our new moen faucet. My Husband is not very handy, so i will do it. You gave so many helpful hints. I greatly appreciate it. Thanks
I just went and bought the exact same model and followed your steps and installed it successfully. Your instructions are better than Moen's. Thank you very much.
This video was incredibly helpful. I just installed a new Moen faucet this morning, and your video gave me the confidence to do it. Saved me at least a hundred dollars by not hiring someone else to do it for me. My new faucet works great!
I am about to replace a faucet. Having this video helps because you do routinely what i do once a decade. seeing the process before i staris a great help, thanks.
Hi Dan, thanks for the great tutorial. You articulate clearly the instruction AND your visibility is spot on. Changing a 34 yr old Moen soon...worried about everything seized up under the sink! Old tap is leaking and we have replaced the cartridges twice in 2 yrs-time for a new one! Thanks again!
Super easy and precise instructions. I was able to install the faucet as he was doing it himself! I just saved $85 instead of hiring a plumber to put it in for me (no offense, I know that you're a plumber too lol). Great job boss!
Thank you for this amazing tutorial! I was able to replace my mother's kitchen sink faucet just now without any help (besides your video). I feel so handy now!!
I just installed a Delta faucet, I liked the mounting system better than the one in the video. There is a big nut you just screw on the thread by hand until it's finger tight, then adjust the faucet so it's straight, and then there are two screws on each side of the nut to tighten up the faucet without it rotating around, really smart design and no special tool required at all.
Great for a homeowner and newbie! Easy to follow along and note to self- check to make sure all outlets fit or not and run to Home Depot for parts/hoses before getting started on install! 😁 Like The tip about the ability to adjust the spray hose reach! 👏🏼
Thank you. I was about to say forget it and do dished in the bathroom sink 🤣 jk. I installed my delta retractable bathroom faucet not long ago so just needed to brush up on it since I’m definitely not a plumber. Great video
Hard to believe this was posted 10 years ago..ahead of times hah. TYSM for the vid! Sup helpful to this girl whos handy but scared to eff up any plumbing things and have to pay big bills for help.
Thank you so much for this. I used it to install my first - a Moen Brecklyn . The details were helpful, like I didn’t even notice the notches on the sprayer connection for tightening . You helped a girl out!!
wow , my new moen is being delivered monday , and they want to charge 200 to put it in , but you just saved me 200 cause with the great vid you just made , I know I can do it myself , ty so much for going slow , I owe you one.......200 more for me.....:~)
This put me over the edge. Fed up with the lack of clearance the stock lamo cheap faucet that my new pad came with, I went out to Home Depot and threw down on this exact faucet... The high curve is perfect for rinsing anything, and it flows water perfectly. I got lucky as mine came with the exact size fittings my sink had. Install was almost exactly the same, I just used the rectangular piece on the underside of the mount for thin sinks as mine is steel. You should get commission from Moen!!
Well done and very informative video. My only suggestion is to use a rachet with the Moen supplied "socket" to tighten the holding nut. I feared you would break the screw driver.
Great video. I had a plumber do mines so I think he make an error with the weight he screwed it in the bottom instead off one side where the hose retracts . So thanks I learned a lot I will change the weight myself
excellent ! not easy to get those under-sink views but glad you did ... do you think that it's possible to buy a flexi water line with a 1/2" end and a 3/8" end so you avoid the adapter?
Excellent video. Very informative. I had some qualms about attacking this job, as it is my first faucet (I DIY other things), but I'm ready now. Knowledge is power. Thank you for sharing yours.
With that special too that Moen provides you should use a Phillips screwdriver that goes through both holes form one side to the other and it creates a t-handle which makes easier turning and you have more leverage.
ok I have the moen lindley, on your video at the 11 min mark, you are connecting the hose to a little black part, with the white part open....mine is same, just different colors, but its closed, how do I open it so that I can connect the hose. Been working and finally got frustrated with it. Thanks for the great video, it showed me why it wouldn't connect.
hi there, great video. gonna be my first time taking out the old faucet and installing a new moen kitchen faucet. I wanted to ask what kind of flex connectors are those you used in your tutorial? Are they male, female, conduit connectors, water connectors, or pvc connectors? I want to get these tools so I can do this job instead of calling a plumber. Also how long in length of the flex connectors should I get?
Hello! Very clear explaination (many other videos gloss over the connection part). I was wondering if I need to add ptfe when connecting the flexible hose to the wall, or if the provided gasket is enough for isolation. I replaced my kitchen sink and there was no ptfe applied, but I saw many people on forums mentioning you need to add ptfe, so now I am in doubt.
This was fantastically helpful. Excellent detail. Gave me the confidence to do it myself. I notice, however, that you did not use pipe tape. Is there no need?
If you had to replace or repair a pipe in the wall behind that under sink cabinet, how would you get to it? Cut out the back of the cabinet with a circular saw? I'm just wondering because I noticed the high-quality wood backing to the cabinet, but in some other videos I've seen, the cabinets don't have backing and you can see the drywall. So these cabinets are much nicer, but could that be a problem if you needed to access the pipes inside the exterior wall? Thanks!
+Laura B. Yes you would have to cut out the cabinet backing and drywall. Pain in the butt. However the pipes in the wall should last 30 plus years so at that time it's probably time but a remodel anyway. Thanks for watching my videos!
Thank you so much!! I just purchased a Glacier faucet and had no idea about buying the adapter!!! Your video was wonderful!!! One question, how do you feel about using sealing tape between the connections?? I saw in some videos that it was recommended !!
So, we were in the process of installing a new faucet, and in attempting to detach the hot water line on the old faucet from the angle stop, i snapped the the entire assembly (brass) off of the pipe (pvc). I'm not smart, or a professional, so of course the main was on, and sprayed probably 10 gallons of water all over the kitchen floor in the 10 seconds it took me to get downstairs and shut the main (feel free to mock my misfortune). Upon inspection of the angle stop after cleaning up the water, the person who initially installed it mashed the angle stop onto the pipe all the way to the gasket for the shutoff valve (approx 1 & 1/4 in.) which I'm currently assuming is the reason it snapped off in the first place. There's still about an inch of the hot water pipe sticking out of the wall, and the question I have is, to install a new angle stop for the hot water line, do I need more pipe, or, do you have any advice in general? Aside from shut off the main before doing this type of home repair?
I have a similar faucet but the threaded mounting bolt is resting against the sink so therefore I’m unable to thread a locking nut. Is there a way to secure a faucet without the locking nut? Like a u-shaped bracket or something?
Thank you so much!!! I just bought a faucet and didn't even think about the adaptors !! One question, how do you feel abut using sealing tape between the connections?? It was recommended in some other videos I watched!!!
The rubber gasket(in the flex connector hose) is the seal between the angle stop (shut-off) and the flex connector you should not use Teflon tape here. This is a common mistake made by handymen. Thanks for watching!
The video is great! I am excited to try this myself! What "cartridge" were you referring to when you said "incase you have to replace it later"... Were you referring to the actual faucet head? thanks
There is a cartridge inside the faucet that may become defective in the future. The manufacturer will replace the cartridge instead of the entire faucet. His idea to keep the label with the model number on the wall of the cabinet for future reference is excellent.
Nice to show actual installation. I will need to do for my kitchen and bath remodel. Do you need silicon or plumber putty to water seal between the faucet and the countertop? It looks like we don't need any teflon tape for this whole installation.
Really nice video tank you for the video really helpful I remodel my kitchen counter tops and I didn’t know how to installed it the faucet tank you very specific
Hi great video nice instructions. Quick question is there any adapter that let you convert from 1/2' to 3/8" on the angle stop so i dont have to buy two more lines in conjuctions with the adapters? i dont know why they do this 1/2" is so common!!! Thanks again
Hi. Great Video. I need some help with my Moen 7185C. It leaks from the handle and upon taking it apart. It seems the flex hoses needs to be tightened inside the faucet. How do I accomplish this? They are leaking water bad. Thanks....
Great video. My moen faucet has come loose several times. Having misplaced the Moen wrench tool, can you buy those anywhere? Or will I have to use a Basin Wrench?
Kohler R72508-CP. At near-final step 12 "Connect the diverter to the brass adapter. Position the pin as shown." Nothing I do will make the parts shown in the instructions make a connection. Push them together forcefully, lightly, whatever. Nothing works. Is this typical of Kohler products or am I missing something obvious? Alternatively, is there a way to not use the separate sprayer? I thought it would be an optional attachment, but I was apparently wrong about that. Still, it should be all that hard to cap off the flexible hose, right? But with what?
This is the best SEE UNDER THE SINK demonstration for installing a Faucet on TH-cam.
Thanks so very much for this! Now I need another tool that doesn't come with my Non-Moen faucet.
People like me are still benefiting from this video 8 1/2 years later. Thanks for uploading. It was very helpful.

What a feeling of satisfaction - this mom just purchased, disassembled and reinstalled a kitchen faucet....... this video made it possible! Thanks!

A picture is worth a thousand words. I don't throw away the wrench, I tape it to one of the pipes for future use.
Thank you. You are a very talented plumbing instructor. I really like your videos.
Dan , got my new faucet today , took out old, and put in new one in 30 minutes , no leaks , works perfect, just wanna say thx again for your help....
He made that look real easy. I was able to do my on install of the Moen Faucet. I had no problem installing the Kitchen Faucet. Thanks a lot.
This video was incredibly helpful. I just installed a new Moen faucet this morning, and your video gave me the confidence to do it. Saved me at least a hundred dollars by not hiring someone else to do it for me. My new faucet works great!
Here in 2023, this excellent tutorial is timeless. Thank you 💯
I am about to replace a faucet. Having this video helps because you do routinely what i do once a decade. seeing the process before i staris a great help, thanks.
The camera work is really good, especially when under the sink.
Great video! Spot on instructions. I installed a Moren Georgene model this morning. No surprises because of your video! Thanks!!👍

I searched change kitchen faucet and this came up as the fourth result. Glad I chose it, now that I've seen the tutorial.
Best video for learning to do this! You made this go from what looked really complicated to feeling confident doing this! Thanks!
Great instructional video, especially as I will be installing a Moen Kaden faucet tomorrow.
Thank you.
Thank you so much for this. I used it to install my first - a Moen Brecklyn . The details were helpful, like I didn’t even notice the notches on the sprayer connection for tightening

Very nice and detailed explanation for learner, better than Moen company video
the best video i have seen so far on how to install a faucett. So easy to follow! thank you very much.
Agree 100%. Good HD quality. Clean instructions. Step by step. Showing the where to look and the how to...excellent. A+.
Well done and very informative video. My only suggestion is to use a rachet with the Moen supplied "socket" to tighten the holding nut. I feared you would break the screw driver.
Great video I have a DYI project this weekend and this makes it look simple and do-able by a nonplumber. Thanks!!!!
Thank you the instructions don’t say anything honestly. This is exactly what I need. Can you also show the soap installation too??
Thank you ours turned out great. Your help was appreciated.

Great video, man. You explain things very well.
Presentation couldn't be better!
Very informative and easy explanation. Thank you for your video, you are a true tradesman.
Excellent video. Very informative. I had some qualms about attacking this job, as it is my first faucet (I DIY other things), but I'm ready now. Knowledge is power. Thank you for sharing yours.
Great video. I'm installing a Moen this morning.
Excellent video... Very thorough and easy to follow. Thanks!
Your video was very helpful. We save some money. Thank you!
Thank you made it very easy to do that sprayer you hit right on point
great video. easy to understand. question should you add Teflon tape to the hose connections?
+Alex Ro no Teflon on the hose connections. The rubber acts as the seal. Thanks for watching!
Fan-darn-Tastic, Dan! Excellent tutorial, this is going to save me hours of frustration!
With that special too that Moen provides you should use a Phillips screwdriver that goes through both holes form one side to the other and it creates a t-handle which makes easier turning and you have more leverage.
at 5:31 you see it rotate as he's tightening it. really helps to have two people

Hey Man, Grreat camera angles help a great deal more. thanks for that, Shumpie.
Thanks ever so much!! You were a darn sight better than those written directions lol! Glad I thought to check on You Tube for help. Thanks again!

How2Plumb I bought the adapter but it is not sealing from adapter to supply end. The supply end is a plastic wing nut style. Any suggestions?
This was fantastically helpful. Excellent detail. Gave me the confidence to do it myself. I notice, however, that you did not use pipe tape. Is there no need?
thanks!! so easy....gave me the confidence to do it myself!
Thanks for your help. Just one little mistake can make all the difference!
This made it really easy.

Nice video and very helpful! I will make sure to do this in our new home.
Great Video . My question is what are you suppose to do with the other holes in the sink?
+Tom Detty Air gap for dishwasher, Fresh water spout, cock-hole cover or soap dispenser.
Thanks
I think I can do this! Thanks for the great video, it was the best I've seen.
Video is so good I'm going to look for the same faucet. Thanks
Great job my brother 👍
Super helpful! Thanks so much!

I noticed you didn’t use Teflon tape. Is it not necessary with that model Moen?
Is plumber's putty necessary? Its a type of "glue" that is used to seal the base of the faucet to the actual sink?
Thank you amazing Video! Was able to install with ease!
Thank you for explaining it perfectly.
Very well explained ! Thanks
Hi. Great Video. I need some help with my Moen 7185C. It leaks from the handle and upon taking it apart. It seems the flex hoses needs to be tightened inside the faucet. How do I accomplish this? They are leaking water bad. Thanks....
So how do you cover up the other 2 remaining wholes since you did not use the provided plate ?
With a item call a sink hole cover
Don't they make a female 1/2 to 3/8 adapter that you can put directly on the angle stop to avoid the additional flex connector?
very good demo easy to understand thxs
Great video. My moen faucet has come loose several times. Having misplaced the Moen wrench tool, can you buy those anywhere? Or will I have to use a Basin Wrench?
Exelent job sr.
