Been fielding Fleshmeld Menagerie with 1-2 Hellpits, Rat Ogres and chaf. Combined with Verminlord Warpseer to give CP. Oh? You killed my Hellpit. Fine. 5+ so it won't die. 4+ that identical just so happens to appear in my lines. :D Never gotten more than +1 Wound from the Master Moulder's Prized Creations, but having a Hellpit auto-reroll 1s with Packmasters giving the +1 To Hit is beyond hilarious when it charges anything with more than 1 model. ... Or even things that only have 1 model, but more so when there's a huge bunch of them. Had Archaon once kill the same four Rat Ogres thrice, when they just kept coming back. XD
@@buckweevil Stormfiends are more forgiving, but if you stack the buffs right on the ogors they can easily outperform the fiends. Moulder is just a beast in general when played well.
With the new Be'lakor coming out you could try "Legions of Chaos Ascendant" from "Wrath of the Everchosen" and then your options of play are any assortment of Chaos Deamons. That way you could go lots of cav, greater deamons or buffing heroes as your choices.
Cities of dwarfs, Josh should play. It’s an old army, and it fits his beard pretty well. And for play I think we haven’t seen them being played for a long long time. So let’s get the good old grudge match back up again.
I would like to see Elite Chaos Mortals that isn't just Archaeon and Varanguard. Warriors and Knights, Lord on Karkadrak, and some allies Like the Myrmadesh PainBringers, or Mighty SkullCrushers. It seems that here it's either Hordes or SuperElite, but I think the coolest looking models are from the Chaos Elite.
Sylvaneth would be interesting to see. They can have horde play style or some small "elite" units and they would complement the Wood Elves from Fantasy. Otherwise no human Cities of Sigmar lists.
I'd like to see you guys do a thing where you swap armies to something out of the norm for you. Like Luka does seraphon, josh does skaven, steve does blades of khorne. Just to see you guys stuggle like "I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THIS ARMY DOES"
Semi seriously though. It's got shooting, big artillery pieces and decent enough cavalry. It's not the best army, but it's fun to play and I've done well with them in tournemants. Their faction ability to negate the first wound dealt to them in the combat and shooting phase, with a 4+ save across the board makes them surprisingly durable.

You should play Khorne! It requires some really skillful play and does not require a million models on the field. Luka used to play Khorne but doesn't really anymore. I think Josh would enjoy the flexibility and multiple viable lists.

Obviously it works best when you use mortals and daemons in conjunction, but Bloodletters are solid and so are Bloodcrushers. Skulltaker and Skarbrand are some of the best characters in the game, and the Reapers of Vengeance subfaction is designed to severely screw with magicists and take advantage of battleshock. Plus it gives your general a fight twice ability which on a Bloodthirster of Insensate Rage can be utterly horrifying. The only really, really major flaw in the faction is the allegiance ability. Blood tithe points are straight garbage. Straaaaaaaaaaaaight garbage.

This battle is actually quite thematic Luca! The underguts' Mawpath primarily follows underground routes. They use their dynamite to blast their way through the earth, sometimes emerging inside hidden lairs to feast upon its occupants - as is the case with this Flesh Eater Court.
Josh's list was super cool. Cannon hype. I know Luka doesn't like them, but I think that this would've been a great game to have brought the KO to. Luka summons flying models to pin down the boats, Josh flies to the other side of the board so that the whole board and all of it's beautiful terrain can be used, and Luka has to position his SUPER killy dragons so that he can munch on boats. Still, cool game. 8/10. Play armies you like, Josh. Always rooting for you :D
So for the new faction. Cities of Sigmar, living cities. However... for the Cities units, use mainly Wanderers, for the Stormcasts use vanguard units, and for the sylvaneth some nice trees :)
really liking the earnest straight-up post game about what armies people do and dont like, the idea of playing what the audience finds entertaining is very much appreciated here, its hard to find decent 40k knights content or even play them without it being slammed for being a dumb army so seeing it in action (along with the ogres) is a nice feeling

Would love to see you pick up Cities of Sigmar. The army roster is so diverse you could still bring a lot of different armies. Plus you could pick up some new stuff like shadow worries or eternal guard or other things we haven’t seen yet.

That looks like a fairly standard Underguts list. I have been itching to try a list that instead takes 2 Tyrant Gutgard battalions so that the list becomes a 2-drop. That allows you to compete for first turn, but you sacrifice either Blood Feast or Blubbergrub stench.
My tip for you Josh is to take over the Daughters of Khaine army! They have a very direct play style if you want, with a good number of movement shenanigans, but kam absolutely murderise anything in their way! They are both a thinking mans army, and the brutes army! Something that I thought might be just what you’re after!
Seriously, those yellow dice are fucking weighted. This is why I don't play against people who use dice where the 6 is replaced by some fancy design, because the fancy design ALWAYS results in more material taken out of the die than the opposite side, the 1. This results in the 1 people heavier, thus you roll more 6s with 1s. Test it, it's true.
4:55 chalice is nice but I run into 2 issues with it. a) soooo many +2/+3/auto dispels in the game there are armies it flat out won't come out b) it only ever helps in your turn most of the time. Most of the damage I take tends to be on opponents turn. On opponents turn however it gets dispelled. It's just 6 to cast and with +1 to dispel being bare minimum these days it seems it just flat out gets dispelled way too often to really count on it. So if I'm strung on points chalice is often first one to go.
I was surprised to hear in the post game chat that everyone gives Josh such a hard time. He’s my favorite AoS player because I feel like he understands the game the best. He handles the movement phases well as opposed to rushing everything into the midfield and then getting countercharged. In almost every post game chat I agree with his opinions the most. You keep doing you Josh because you’re doing it right 😁👍 As far as an army goes, I’d say Lumineth. No offense to Steve but I feel like you could play the other builds and do much better with the army. There’s so much fun tech in the book outside of the Wardens and Sentinels that could be unlocked like the Alarith :) I’ve heard him say that nothing else in the book works but I’d have to disagree having played the army since it’s come out and winning a tournament that had some cows and no archers

Yeah looks like a good choice. Lowish model count, no one else at MWG seems to play them consistently. Lots of build options from charging heavy cav smashers. Grinding infantry smashers. Shooting. Mobility options. Synergies. Etc. Plus they're not exactly hardcore crushing face at the top tiers so little to worry about making OP lists. Shootcast is about it but it's unlikely anyone would just so happen to stumble on that build accidentally.
I love the chalice because I run horde ghouls. A ghast courtier and a varghulf with the chalice nearby 40 ghouls just makes ghouls hilarious. Especially when you get off the 3 extra attacks spell 🤣 but I also like crusader ghouls so I can just right up to objectives and then revive after the counter punch 🤔
Try combining Squigs and Grots and/or Troggs in the same list! No battalions; just a bunch of warscrolls that can hit hard plus some Gitz wizardry. Go Jaws of Mork to make the Squig elites more gooder! That or you can brave the Spiderfang and try their WD subfaction, with some Grots to make 'em more tarpitty!
Slaves to Darkness(WITHOUT ARCHAEON), Seraphon(Not Coalesced/Thunder-Lizard), or Desciples of Tzeench(not all flamers).(or maybe maggotkin because they're never on this channel)
