Chicken, sausage, and Shrimps Pasta Jambalaya

- hello friends, we are making the most delicious jambalaya pasta today!
What You’ll Need
4 tbsps. olive oil
1 pound chicken breast (cut into pieces)
½ pound shrimp deveined
½ pound andouille sausage sliced into half-inch thick pieces
2 tbsps. Cajun spice blend
½ cup red bell peppers diced
½ cup green bell peppers diced
¾ cup diced onion
3 cloves of garlic minced
1 tsp thyme
1 bay leaf
8 ounces tomato sauce
½ tsp red pepper flakes (or ¼ tsp Cayenne powder)
1 medium tomato diced
1 cup chicken broth
1 pound fettuccine pasta cooked al dente (don’t rinse!)
Salt and pepper to taste
Parsley and leftover minced bell peppers fo

Hello Chef Lola, I’m born and raised in south Louisiana where this dish originates and we call this dish “pastalaya”. When there is rice in it instead of pasta we call it jambalaya. Just wanted to let you know.
I made this yesterday and it was absolutely delicious. My guest was full of praise for the chef. One thing I would do is add twice the number of shrimp. They tend to shrink when you cook them! Wonderful recipe. ⚜️👍

What are susage made up of?
Andouille is always traditional if you can find it, if not, I use Chorizo or some spicy Italian will work as well.
The recipe looked spot on.... until she added the garlic at the same time as the onions. This is a massive mistake as garlic will burn before onions are cooked. I recommend adding garlic 45 seconds to 90 seconds before adding wet ingredients. Still looks good, just dont burn the garlic.
My thoughts exactly…when she added the garlic with the sausage I thought noooo it’s too soon. It burns.
