Avoid it. Locks you into DJI ecosystem which will be a problem as a person progresses.
As you said, I didn’t like the globe mode shooting as well. Is there any setting that we could change to not be like globe? I didn’t get what is the point of that. On the other hand, I’m just crazy about DJI FPV. I have a Mavic Mini and now this new drone. The power is just insane!
@@glaubercs You must be talking about the TinyWorld 36p panorama rendering setting as "globe mode"? It's a gimmick but I've seen some peopel do some very wow things with it a few times. You have to though do a lot of tracking additions in post process to really make the wow come out though.
The probelm is buying DJI, is you're stuck there. Their controllers and drones only work with the saem controllers you bought them with. Then what, you end up with repeated buying of a controller fevery drone and a custom set of batteries for every drone, and can't buy 3rd party stuff or use one ctornoller for everything.
If you want power a 5" carbon frame quad will probably blow the DJI FPV quad out of the water.. as the DJI FPV quad is pretty heavy like a schoo bus. Yeah that big block 450 has a lot of power but it's also pulling a bus full of kids lol. Or in the case of DJI, a huge heavy battery.
Stcik the same school bus engine 450 in a Shelby Cobra body and you've got a stick of dynamite on 4 wheels.
Just took mine up for the first flight! The props keep showing up in my frame! How’d you avoid that here?
@@taf158 Those are just there for shipping. You have to break them off before you fly.

You can adjust the stick tension from the back of the controller, adjust it to how you like.

I have been loving sport mode so far, rippen up the snowy mountains. No simulator yet for android so I have been patiently waiting for M mode...and then i tried yesterday and immediately flipped and smashed into the ground on take off, ha ha. Lucky it was snow other wise those blades would have self owned hard.
Good flying fella... I've got the same drone and the wind in your video was definately a factor which reduced your flying time.
Little question!!!!...the dron record all sound around you or just the sound of the propellers??

I just got one and in normal or sport mode I was easily able to get 20min of flight. I believe manual mode is the mode that really sucks that battery down. Love my drone so far.
i recently got my mini 2 and honestly for me its the best drone just uploaded a review too, might get this drone in a year or so :)
That’s what I’ve been hearing. I’ve been flying a mini for awhile, 1-2yrs, and love it. Its my daily flyer commercial. ...I just grabbed the FVP and tbh I’m mad intimidated by it...have been considering sending it back and grabbing the mini 2. I’ve heard nothing but great things.

Got the mini one. Don't like it now. Always having low power power /esc issues. Should of waited for mini 2..

Some of your critiques can be fixed in the menus. The horizon distortion effect can be fixed in the settings. Turn EIS on for smoother footage. And some other stuff you mentioned.

@@Mcgeee I'm a beginner and bought this as my first drone. From all the videos I've watched about it there are some settings which can make it better. Adjusting the sensitivity of the controls as well as using D-CInelike color profile in addition to the EIS and distortion correction mentioned. I've got an Android phone so the DJI FPV sim doesn't work. I'm in the process of looking for alternatives. Thinking either DRL or Velocidrone. Any sim you recommend? Can't wait to fly this thing for real.
@@TheParadigmShiftTV Liftoff works with the DJI controller (V1) via usb c/usb cable plug and play. Not sure about velocidrone. Should also work with the new controller. I learnt on velocidrone but liftoff is more fancy and has really cool locations and quads to choose from.

dont know if u have found out jet but if you tweak the screws a little the stick becomes smooth
Some say they have flew around 15 min with normal mode,manual mode with pedal to the metal of course not even close.

Hello i have 1 question.. When i hover in S mode can i switch in M mode when im flying or i have to stop and then switch to M mode. And the opposite when i fly on M mode and switch to S mode will the drone stop and fly with gps or it will fall?
Why when u fly the Dji FPV u didnt encounter the propeller caught inside the video at certain tilt angle? How do you do that? Mine is propeller appeared inside the video during flying...any tips?

If you want the stabilised footage you have to turn the option on! doh!

I fly the Nazgul also and it definitely doesn't feel as fast and nimble, but it does feel smoother I think.
Nazgul pilot here too! I also prefer cinematic flying with GoPro and RSGO. Durability and geofencing (height restriction) a big turnoff on this drone. Would you consider it a cool upgrade? Planning on mountain 🏔 surfing in Switzerland. Thanks 🤘🏻
@@marsmachine1156 the Nazgul and DJI are totally different. They both have their own characteristics and you can crash the Nazgul and not have to worry as much.
Danny great video, i'm learning with a crappy one so i know the features and pitfalls for when i upgrade, the goggles you are using look great, what is the model and spec, and i wouldn't mind getting this no and using with the crappy drone if possible, so when i upgrade half the battle is won

Also I'd never be able to fly FPV so close to birds dropping like stones and the sea beneath haha specially for a maiden flight.

Is it true that the resolution of the goggles isn't actually HD (1080p)? So the picture you actually see isn't anywhere as good as the footage would have you believe?

How do you manage fpv batterys when travelling with a van? (Just saw the iceland videos)
Did you just plug the batterys in the cigar lighter or is it better to stop at bar/public places to charge the lipos?
In the past I've used cigar lighters, but now I actually use a product called Boost Pack. It's amazing for portable charging - amzn.to/3oRPiv1
@@Mcgeee ill sure keep this in my wish list, but for now im trying to save as much as possible in order to travel more. When you used the cigar lighter, did you pay attention to the car battery not becaming empty or as long as you charge while driving everything is safe?

Looks like EIS (image stabilisation) not on and dewarp not on. Best to leave off for goggles but on for drone to get the best footage...
When you tight the screw of the remote, you did it to both joysticks ??
No just the throttle
Turn distortion correction on, that will help you a lot!

Battery life it’s depends on the windy conditions it’s kill the battery , cause I easily get 13 mins out the battery , an it’s also it’s your first cycle on the battery , you would have to have at least 6 cycle . An you have to make sure you have rock steady on .

I would suggest looking into an emax tiny hawk 2 freestyle I don’t yet have one but seen many videos and reviews I currently have dji fpv but seriously considering the emax and it’s cheap ready to fly under £200
Thanks for the honest review Danny, I was concerned about those camera shakes unlike gopro + rsgo. I guess we gotta wait for some kind of IBIS or a FPV V2 of this quad. Nothing can be compared to rsgo.
We shall see. Hoping they come out with a more sport version at some point
Great video. I think many youtubers are afraid to criticize DJI in case they would miss a collaboration opportunity. I see mostly praises about this drone, how good it is but when I saw the footage it was somehow disappointing, too low quality compared to GoPro. Also if the actual battery life is only around 10 min then it still makes a lot of sense building your own FPV drone, even for beginners.
I totally agree. To be honest, I'm here trying to find a single good reason to buy it, but the more I watch videos, the less I think it worth the money. Also £150 for a battery, I mean really? All in plastic? The point for me it's not much the price, for £650 you get a lot of features, but if - no, sorry, WHEN you will crash, you will be missing how easy is to repair your drone.
Great video in an awesome location. Not sure if this bird is a worthy upgrade to my Nazgul/GoPro/RSGO setup for cinematic footage. This vid seemed a bit rushed. Not comfortable with controls, video settings not applied etc. Also too much wind is not a good way to demonstrate a new product. Looking forward to your next flights and cinematic tips. Subbed ya anyway of course! 👊🏻
There is a default height restriction setting to be checked/unchecked in order to fly higher.
Just watching and imagining the extremes of these machines...but it also took pretty long for human to think that by shorting helicopter blades u can make small flying machines.
How's the image quality from the drone? How is it to color grade and is it grainy?
It's not bad. I'm going to do a footage review video in a couple weeks so will get more in depth there. But it did have a bit of grain when I was flying

It has its place, but every other quad I have that runs betaflight or I nav flys way better. It feels slow to react, I think. There is something off about it

I would recommend people fly the DCL game for practice rather than the APP. if your PC can handle it.

You can plug your phone into your goggles and open the dji fly app. Go into camera view and your wife can see from there.

traditional rc have no centering on throttle only dji have it so normal is not like dji
To be honest I like the quality of GoPro shots much better especially when stabilized with reelsteady. But it's definitely a very convenient opportunity for people to get into FPV

There’s one problem it’s dji everything has to be dji as far as parts cost not being able to mix and match motors FCs etc it’s a pass but the digital display would be nice

dji is the company name and fpv is an acronym for first person view. Basicaaly because you're looking through goggles.
oh wow, I just heard you say "it's giving me a warning saying I'm near a no fly zone". What is DJI doing that?

You mentioned the fact the DJI drones are geo locked and prevent flying in a no fly zone . . . This doesn’t necessarily mean traditional FPV pilots can still fly there 😂. If anything all drones should have this technology to prevent any accidents
Only thing is the camera kind of sucks it’s worse than using a GoPro with ReelSteady
