Yep .but Governments still don’t learn from history.. Greedy power hungry people are still causing wars and will continue to far into the future .sadly …
Been there many times, place is now going through updates, lots of things on display, like the room of assassination. Also when you are there you can stay inn over night, so you can have night walk witch i recommend cos it is a walk from a different angle. Its a very good idea that Poland is looking over that place it is infamous place but History needs to be learn so we don't forget, Never forget ! Thank for you upload, appreciated 🙂happy stay in Poland 🙂
Great vid, I spent the day there in Apr 99, changed a lot since then, a huge change to the museum with lots more exhibits & even several vehicles, steps up to bunkers & lit up with pictures on walls, back in 99 it was forbidden to enter any bunker on safety grounds, we did anyway, no one was around, we had the place to ourselves.
Excellent quality presentation of this site. As a purveyor (tragic)of many many of these type of ww2 site videos, I found yours has some of the highest quality footage and non-invasive audio and voice over I have seen. Very enjoyable. Well done 👏 I look forward to you visiting Arnhem, Bastogne and Normandy 😊
Place is huge, 10sq Km's, there's another not to far away & they also built a complex in Ukraine. Had bunkers for all of the High Command & including his bodyguard.
Was there about 10 years ago. We had a private tour of the site which was very good. We stayed on site in a converted car pool garage/bunker that is a small hotel. Don't know if its still there?
It felt very strange to be there but it was interesting to know to discover the full story. We had the option to stay to night but that did not feel the right thing to do!
@@DRSEXPLORING When I was there in 99 the Waffen SS Barracks were converted into a Hotel, we intended to stay the night but several bus loads of tourists were coming in that night & had it booked out.
Blimey!!! Jolly good show old Queen! Going there is about as close to grabbing the bull by the horn nowadays .The blighters were the for some time I understand. A bloke like me would love to eyeball in person. I wonder if you were to crawl inside if theres any horrible biters lurking in the shadows? You have a bloody good day love and I most certainly check back in with you from time to time, Bully!
Excellent video; thanks. I was unaware that the Wolf's Lair was made into a museum/tourist spot with paved paths and such? I've just seen videos where the area was desolate and being reclaimed by nature. When did these changes happen? Thanks.
Did puitin construction team visited in order to take valuable points in order to build an improved version as for all that he copied from an extended studies in Dresden?.
Great video, except a missed opportunity by glancing over the information boards. Without being able to pause TH-cam and read info on location, it became a monotonous walk around a derelict building site after demolition. Such a shame as it was off to a good start.
@@liveonlyonce honestly it was a really great video. I did exactly what you suggested and some of the notices were perfect. There were a few notices that were unable to be read on pause and a large one which looked really informative was swept over with the camera, so unreadable.. Thanks for the reply.
You need to do a little more research. There were FIVE attempts on hitler's life. The 5th attempt took place at Wolf's Lair on July 20th, 1944. The bomb was planted next to hitler but was unwittingly moved behind a table leg. Three people were killed in the blast, hitler only received minor injuries.
The BOMB was there, 1944, Stauffenberg placed this, in a briefcase, against a table leg, near to where Hitler was standing. However der Führer moved away from there & missed most the blast, which only injured him.
Thank you for the tour. History needs to be preserved, not forgotten.
Thank you
History no matter how bad or good should be preserved. Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
Thank you
Agree sir...
Yes and sadly enough that's actually happening again right now... 😢

Very interesting! I didn't know this place still existed or that it was so extensive, with several bunkers for people besides Hitler.
Mru is better

Everytime there is a war
Borders changed
The wolfs lair was in prussia
It wasn't "known as East Prussia " - it was East Prussia!

sorry about that but it is possible to pause the video and then hit the back button and you will be able to read the information.

These are German lands.
MUAHAHA, these WAS Nazi germany LANDS
@@slkOnebitcheZ Prussians were around a 1000 years before the Nazis, they love to fight so jumped on the Nazi bandwagon, so it cant exist anymore.

you should do close ups of info boards so people can pause the video and read them, gives more depth to what you are filming......
it's a shame idiots destroyed buildings like these, if they were intact they would be a goldmine.
