- I was absolutely thrilled that I was given the opportunity to own something as cool, and nostalgic as this Delta. Unfortunately, as is the case with most things, it was imperfect, and certainly needed some work before it was driveable. The biggest of those issues is the transmission. It was slipping and failing to go into gear, so I knew that it had to be replaced. I was able to source one from a buddy of mine, and I had no idea what it came out of, or if it even worked. So naturally, I threw it in anyhow! It was definitely a great experience replacing a transmission, given that I'd never done it prior to this video.
I am a 16-year-old who has a thriving passion for cars, and a burgeoning TH-cam channel! I come from a family who has yet to explore the car community or mechanics, which means I am self-taught, and make a lot of room in my life for learning, and networking! I plan to grow this TH-cam channel exponentially, and I hope to see you on the journey with me!

I could be a shift solenoid a lot of gms are vacuum. I love that car it reminds me of the 1974 I had. I am glad you got it in the garage it is really cold to be outside doing it. I am glad you are posting again I missed you.

when it comes to the cross member you should be able to unbolt it and slide it back out of the way
valve covers are leaking, that is typical for those cars but not hard to change. I would pressure wash it to keep an eye on it.

it is low on trans fluid has to be warm to check it right
in an older automatic if it is bone dry it takes 9 quarts to fill them.
did you make sure the kick down was hooked up on the carb it won't shift if it is still off and the vacuum lines has to be hooked up as well.
Haven't watched the whole video yet but it sounded like it was low on oil. I guess you'll say so later.
It won't shift into third until you get to 40 miles an hour
