Can this 1958 PLYMOUTH be Resurrected? (You Won't Believe How Bad it is...)
Christine!! Well actually, it's a belvedere... (And no, I did not shave my beard.)
This video was filmed this summer. I've just recently gotten around to editing and posting this video, and I'm very glad that I have. It was a lot of fun to make, but certainly a lot of work to edit. If you could leave it like, comment and subscribe, that would be great, I would love to hear your thoughts on what we should do next with this car, and perhaps how we can revive such a dilapidated piece of history. Let me know!

I am an 18-year-old who has a thriving passion for cars, and a burgeoning TH-cam channel! I come from a family who has yet to explore the car community or mechanics, which means I am self-taught, and make a lot of room in my life for learning, and networking! I plan to grow this TH-cam channel exponentially, and I hope to see you on the journey with me!

I want my own TV show! In fact, it’s a dream of mine to run a show where rescuing undesired classic cars is the primary focus. It seems that there’s an audience for it, and I sure notice and appreciate it when I get the support that I usually do from you guys watching. This video took hours and hours to plan, film, edit, and upload. So if you could hit that like button, subscribe if you’d like ...

Taking a leap if faith is something that the luckiest of us get to do more than once in life. At eighteen, I’m feeling like this is a significant time for me, and this may mark one of the first serious leaps that I’ve taken. I’m frightened. But what rule followers, rule creators, rule breakers, normies, sheep, conspiracy theorists, and anyone of the like can all agree on, is that there is a sys...
How to Diagnose and Repair an Electrical Short. *Interior Lights Not Working*
มุมมอง 2105 หลายเดือนก่อน
2004 Cadillac Seville interior light short circuit diagnosis video. Electrical issues can be tremendously difficult to point out, especially in a vehicle with such complex wiring. This was a relatively easy diagnosis compared to other, perhaps more complex module-based electrical schematics, although it still feels very rewarding to diagnose and repair a wiring issue that subtracts from the lux...
Here's a Review of the FORD BRONCO! (Replacement - in 2001)
มุมมอง 2055 หลายเดือนก่อน
The Ford Bronco has gained a cult following beyond any shadow of a doubt. And it saddened a lot of customers when Ford announced that they'd be discontinuing it from 1997 onward. So, they had to introduce something new, that could live up to the ever-changing demand of consumers. And so, they released this: The Expedition. This is an owner's review of what most would consider old junk, but it's...
Engine OUT! Pulling the Engine OUT of the 1971 Ford Custom *Project White-ning*
มุมมอง 2309 หลายเดือนก่อน
I've come up with a name for this project that I find particularly fitting. The movie White Lightning is an all-time classic, and also features a 1971 Ford Custom 500. Quite similar to mine! Maybe not so similar yet, although Im hoping that by the time that we're done, it will be! This video is certainly not of the highest production value, simply because it's just me, who's one guy, but I'm ho...

When the ideal situation becomes not ideal anymore, just destroy everything in your way. In this video, there were many 50 plus year old rubber/plastic parts that were lost due to negligence. We managed to pull the heads off of this small block Ford in less that a half hour. Which is cooool? I am a 17-year-old who has a thriving passion for cars, and a burgeoning TH-cam channel! What Am I Supposed to Do With This?! *I Need Your Help on This One*

When you receive a gift, it's usually impolite to refuse, or discard, or sell, or scrap it. In most cases, it's also not looked upon favourably to amend it. Although in this case, it's most definitely required to "amend it"! I don't know exactly what I can do with it at this point, so I figured it would be a convenient time to ask for advice, while introducing it, so here you go. I am a 17-year...

keep the original engine block..if in the future you sell the car let it go with it...someone may want to bring it back to original...the engine can be re-sleeved.
That stuff in the cylinder looks like a mixture of taco bell and kitty litter just saying
As soon as I heard "might as well go for a soda", I knew you were Canadian. The sterling elocution hinted at that as well 😂
Subbed, young fella. Gonna be fun to watch you learn. I went thru all that 40 years ago. And Im still learning. Mostly cuz I'm really slow.
My first car was a '57 Chrysler Saratoga, with a 354 Poly "Spitfire" motor. I got it free, way back in 1974. At the time, it was just a 17 year old gas hog at the dawn of the OPEC oil embargo. It was free. I was 8 years old. Wish I had it now.
What engine is that? My grandmother had 57-58 Dodge Royale that had a Red Ram Hemi in it with the push button tranny.
Maybe the block could be saved if you had the money the block could be bored out and they put a sleeves in block?
Yea it's a 1957 the 1958s had dual headlights
while it does have 57 fenders on the front everything else indicates it is a 1958, the pattern on the gauge cluster, the taillights, etc. it may have been in a front end accident and had its front end swapped.
That engine is worth saving, that cylinder you can have it bored and a liner, or as some say sleeved, the heads are not as bad as you think
I rebodied a 57 Belair into a 57 Plymouth. I did that because the 57 Belair floorpans are dead on almost in the width of the floor from rocker to rocker an there much easier to get an a much higher outcome an you won't have 50 million patches
You guys need to check out youtube Cold Wars Motors .Scott has a yard full of these cars.Oh yeah he's Canadian
MoPar - a french word meaning “rusted all to hell”
Idk where y'all are from but could pick up a cheap 5.7 hemi car or truck whatever for pretty cheap just some rot box rip it all out throw er in there they love giving er all the way
Love a Plymouth build!!!!sure miss my 60 plymouth 😢
60 is the BEST year!
It wasn't abandoned. Everyone uses that tag line.
@@johnfranklin5277 True. Because it works. But I’ll tell you this, it certainly wasn’t WASN’T abandoned. It definitely wasn’t driven in the last 30 years. So I’d say it was. Even figuratively.
@ 2:52 it says 1959 on the tag.
Thats... odd...
The pushbutton transmission allowed direct reverse to drive without pushing neutral. This permitted rocking the car to get out of a mud hole. If you do the 360 with 727, make sure that you find a version of transmission that was originally working with a pushbutton transmission. In face it may be best to select an engine and pushbutton transmission already mated together so that you will likely have all the cable arrangements for the transmission and the kick-down linkage to a carburetor. I think 1964 down to 1960 models may be your best source for needed parts.
The only hope that car has if you sell it to someone else.
Facts, he's clearly in way over his head.
@stacysanders-w3e thanks alot, just gives me more people to prove wrong. i have all the resources I need. i know someone with 3 of these as parts cars. i have welders and access too them. why are yall so negative?
wow thats the worst engine ive ever seen bit of t cut it be as good as new
i love the ride on the highway at the end, good results. is factory new again, couldnt be better.
It definitely needs some love !!!!… and a lot of $$$$$ to bring it back to life !!!!
Get a 350 chevy engine..they keep the world going around!!! All this motor would be good for is to throw in a car that you're hauling to the scrap yard for weight😂😂
Hot head performance specializes in replacement parts for the 392 Chrysler hemi v8 this engine was built from 1958 until 1964
That motor been under water 💦 in a river 🙀🙀🙀
Find a good running 318 poly motor. Much easier the 318 poly is a great motor has like Hemi Rocker large valve . They also have a mean exhaust note 👌🇦🇺✌️.
these guys are children lol
Only ret**ds use 'lol'., at least the younger generation are getting into classic/vintage cars and keeping them alive.
@davidhusband5022 nope, just me, sure you may think your better because your an adult as all adults think they are better than children, but tell me this, what were you doing at my age? i highly doubt you were restoring cars.
Blaser auto in moline Illinois has amc parts. They bought out a bunch of dealership parts dept over the years when amc dealers went out. 1939-1987 range of parts.
W is for wipers. I have my parents 58 Caddy they bought in 1960. Lifelong Southern California car, still on the road😊 Good luck guys, you have your work cut out for you.
Christine resurrection
06:11 did this donut actually say that it's got spark plugs and diesel in it? 😂😂😂 spark plugs are for GAS CARS ONLY and NOT diesel.
The diesel is used as a solvent and rust penetrant to break loose rusted rings, clean out sludge, etc.
Harry Potter bought a plymouth, upgrade from the fying anglia.
i get that alot
Ну вот, а то все Астартес, да Астартес... Не космодесантом империум един!
That is definitely a 1958 with 1957 fenders headlights and turn signals so somebody’s changed it along the way
It's OK,sleve it n rering it
Put in a 440
also, this same car/color, 4 door etc, can be seen in the movie, Animal House, with John Belushi , set in 1962, the car is abandoned in front of the Delta's Animal House, as a worn out wreck , even the rear bumper is hanging down like in Christine when Arnie first sees the car
Well that’s a watch! I’d like to see that. Good to know!
@@TeenMechanic you can see it at 4:12 in this YT clip "10 Killer Facts About The '64 Lincoln Continental "Deathmobile" - Animal House" I also left a similar comment on there🤣 it's only seen in the movie for those few seconds, so just a background prop ,
Wait till you see the dash light up. That car is worth what you paid for it listen to The doors when you shut the doors it's a solid car
Lucky you nature pulled the sleeves for you, should be a quick fix
Its a 57
its a 1958, the only parts on this car that are from a 57 is the front end. everything else points to it being a 1958. do the research I promise you wont be disappointed
You were robbed.
Brakes r for people who dont plan ahead😮
That car may have been in a flood at some point. With the plugs out, that would explain how so much dirt is in it. The rest of the car is way above average. Just find a good engine for it.
Maybe a 71 or72??
There's another guy with a 2 door that's so rusty, tt makes this one look mint. He's slowly putting it back together.
been following him for 3 months now, just amazing what he's doing with it..
You mean @RottenBuick.
@@solidsnakesimulation666 yes,
Btw..if it doesn't slip..the clutch is good...drive it till it slips.. The end
I'd buy the rocker arm tensioner springs off you (the springs between the rockers on the shaft). I need some to replace the ones on my 277 poly in my '56 Savoy.
