It must have seen a rival in its territory the way it protested there near the end. They do have beautiful turquoise colours. Most of the kingfishers here have some turquoise.

Yes, they are quite vocal birds.
I have one that comes and sits on the burglar bars of my lounge window. I think it sees it's reflection. But it poops on my window when it flies off.
Maybe try and close the blinds/curtains if it comes. They hurt their beaks if they peck the glass.

They usually don't hide but sit out on a prominent perch and call.
