Jeep Wrangler Programmer Phone App - Every JK Owner Needs This

  • Finally! An app that allows Jeep owners to change all kinds of factory settings. This app will do everything the AEV procal and superchips fashcal can do at a fraction of the price.
It is very important to purchase the correct Bluetooth OBD reader (link below). The OBD reader only needs to be plugged in while programming is in progress or if you want live readings, meaning after you make your changes you can remove it and you will be good to go!
This app also allows multiple VINS, meaning if you own multiple JKs you simply pay $15 for each Jeep instead of buying separate programmers for each Jeep.
This app works great and I would highly suggest it to any JK owner.
I am getting feedback from 2018 Jeep owners that a lot of the functions do not work with their Jeep. I think the tire and gear calibration is the only function that works on the 18s.
    Bluetooth OBD Tool: amzn.to/2DJ4LI5
If above is out of stock, try this one: amzn.to/3726RSo
    Another OBD Tool: amzn.to/2WGuNDC
App: OBD JScan by Piotr Bialic itunes.apple.c...
    Android Version: play.google.co...
If you have any issues or concerns then reach out to the app developer on his facebook page (OBD JScan) he is very responsive.
Thanks for watching and like always, please tell your Jeep Buddies to check out and subscribe to JK Gear and Gadgets!

I just got this app and it is fantastic. The license is $18.99 now, super cheap compared to other programmers out there. It did what I needed it to do, correct tire size. Plus, I went through and customized a bunch of other things, day time running lights, door locks, power windows, checked for trouble codes.
Just plug in the ODB device, turn on the key and follow the prompts. When finished, unplug the OBD device and toss it in the glove box for future use, it does not stay plugged in. I know this video is over a year old but wanted to say thanks for turning me on to this thing.

A couple days after this post, I snagged these parts and got the app. It worked great, but it didn't turn my '16 JK's TPMS down to what I was hoping. Apparently the '16+ JKs have a different TPMS module. A couple days later, the app received an update that fixed it and now I've got the TPMS sensor set for my normal pressure of 29 PSI. Thanks Ben, great find.

Three years later and I'm just now seeing this video. I ordered the iCar VGate and bought a license for the OBD JScan.....PHENOMENAL!!!!! When I bought the JK, it only had one key, so I bought a new one online, but then I found out that the stealership wanted $185 to program it (1 hour of labor they said)....the JScan did it in under 2 minutes. That alone is worth the cost, so thanks, Ben!

Great video! FYI: Your throw out bearing problem is actually not a throw out bearing problem. It sounds like your clutch fork is not retracting enough to keep the throw out bearing from making contact with the pressure plate when the clutch pedal is up. Throw out bearings are not supposed to be in constant contact with the pressure plate and you shouldn't hear it spinning with the engine/pressure plate. You might want to check the retraction spring before your burn up another bearing. Good luck!

Can confirm it all works. It is $20 for the app license and it links to the vin like mentioned. Literally took 3 minutes. Now I’m no longer reading 14mpg on 33” tires went back to healthy 16.8 mpg in a days commute. Most important it shifts on time and correctly on the auto now!

Hey Ben. I was going to reply to your reply but I thought more people would see it this way. The Vgate ICar Pro combined with the OBD Jscan works absolutely flawlessly on my 2016 JK 2 door automatic. I turned off the TPMS light, adjusted speedometer for 35"s and it shifts so much better. Now I am going to troubleshoot my wheel speed sensors (another thorn in my side). I can't thank you enough. Cost me about 40.00 total and has alresdy paid for itself!! Thanks again!! Wifey and I just got back from a weekend of wheeling on the beach after putting some 35's on her JK and I was explaining what the ProCal could do( changing the programmed tire size ) so it would shift at the right time. We agreed to buy it when we got home......I procrastinated and watched your video first....... glad I did!!! You have some of the best content out there Ben so keep your head up. I stumbled on this jscan when you mentioned at the end of one of your other videos. Just bought my first Wrangler a few months ago, which was already lifted but I’ve had several issues with geometry the previous owner didn’t adjust. Didn’t realize how big fixing the tire size to adjust the speedometer would be. I feel like I have a whole new jeep now. The shift points are fixed and it drives so much better. I just did this today but I’m in shock. This is just one of several things I’ve learned from your videos but this has been the most rewarding so far. Thx and keep up the great work. Much appreciated!

It nolonger has the horrible EGR pinging rattle, it shifts decisively, goes in and out of Eco mode seamlessly and all gear shifts are silky smooth. The power down low is hugely improved. I just can't recommend this app enough. It's like my Jeeps had a mega dyno tune.

mtfulemming if the Turn signals are regular bulbs, both filaments light up. (Parking and turns)
The heat WILL melt the housings. Happened to me. Sucks cause I love the look of the bright amber turn signals as drl

Hey Ben.... thanks for the video on the OBD JSCAN.... I have a 2018 JKU Rubicon. It works great, and I’ve recommended it to several of my friends. Thanks for everything you do, and keep making the information you provide. 😎💪👊

To comment on views down...I personally am not into the one-ton swap videos. I'm sure they're great for those guys/gals, just like the rest of your videos. Thanks for the hard work, brother.

bought the Veepeak obdcheckBLE. did not pair with my Motorola moto Z4. Did work with my wifes phone, a motorola but a cheaper version than mine. Nice app, Thanks for the vid.
Update..... I contacted Veepeak about the problem and they replied quickly with advice. I tried a few things and was able to connect. clearing the bluetooth cache and it worked.
so if your having issues i had give that a try.
After using the App, my 08 wrangler drives so much better and shifts better. So much nicer on the highway too.
Computer reads then 9.5 mpg to now 15 mpg. rolling on 35" mud tires. 4" front and 3" rear lift.

Thanks dude, was going nuts after only getting slightly bigger tires, trans just labouring to change between 2 & 3, just overall crap. Dealership obviously didn't do much other than 'upgrade' firmware, no change. Saw this vid, got adapter and app, boom fixed!

Been watching you for awhile now. Haven't commented much. Love this channel. I just ordered the Bluetooth tool for my JK and downloaded the app. This will save space in my Jeep and do everything I want to do by looking at one device and not multiple, so thanks for the info. Keep making vids!

Just got the Vgate Scanner as well. I had to tinker with the Tire calibrations to get it close to my phones GPS. Have a 2011 JKU, 3.73, on 315/70/17 Auto. My tires supposedly measure to be 34.4, so I went with the 34.5 size. It was still off about 3 mph. I went down to tire size 34 and it is within .5-1 mph now. Pretty close. I also turned off the TPMS!! woohoooo... Much thanks for this video. I will be getting regeared soon and will reconfigure and post back my results.

If your speedo goes out it’s because of an error in the app, it will trigger a engine code and if you clear that code you will be good to go. The speedo is the hardest to calibrate

Please let us know how everything works on your ‘16. I have a ‘17 myself and FCA “locked” all the ECMs starting in 2015 models so this app and OBD setup may not work well on our newer JKs. So far I’ve only read negative reviews for ‘15+

    • @childswill

Got it today and seems to have worked. Connected via Bluetooth with no problem. Only issue was I forgot to purchase the app and it kept telling me to review the license. However once I purchased, I had full access. Only made a few minor changes and will check again tomorrow to verify it worked. Big thing was the tires were set at 31 and I’m running 35s, so hopefully it makes a difference.
