    This is like the story: "Of Mice and Men" where although the character Lenny didn't mean any harm, he had no restraint and was thus dangerous. He ended up killing puppies (accidentally) and snapping the neck of a woman who was into him (accidentally).
    Though Kara's mental capacity is nothing like Lenny's and she's a competent and intelligent being, the same rules of exercising restraint applies and she would accidentally get people killed if she doesn't learn to control her strength.

      growing up as a Kid with Autism i always hated how the book of Mice and men made me and the Autistic community into something like Lenny or a monster but always give respect how other media show how they respected the autistic side knowing we are just people who need real help and have a parent who knows they want to help us or try to fit into are world

      @@comicbookreviewer4856 but I think that’s the point! It’s an extreme as to what happens to someone who isn’t given that help. Like for me as a person, I was actually like “wow these people do need help”. But making stories about how they are bullied or stuff like that isn’t helping the autism it’s only focusing on the bullying.

      @@comicbookreviewer4856 One can interpret Lenny's character in "Of Mice and Men" as being autistic, but he is never explicitly referred to as being autistic by the narrative. Lenny displays qualities of having an intellectual disability, which is not necessarily the same thing as autism, although the two are not mutually exclusive. Keep in mind that Steinbeck wrote "Of Mice and Men" in the 1930s based upon his own experiences with migrant agricultural workers circa 1910. Although theories about autism did exist in that time period, they probably weren't widely known outside of people working in the field of psychiatry. The point being, Steinbeck isn't making a dig at people with autism. If anything, he is criticizing humanity's tendency to dehumanize anyone who is different. Remember that Crooks is treated pretty badly by the other characters in the story for being black. He mistreats Lenny for being different, despite knowing how it feels himself. Despite being different, Crooks is human and is subject to human flaws.
      The point being, there's no point in hating Steinbeck for his portrayal of a character who you may or may not have shared a disorder with, especially considering that Lenny is portrayed in a more sympathetic light in the story.

    I have to agree with batman on this because, kara did not care of her surrounding and only go on offensive as in she just want the job done but does not see the backlash. Imagine an alien who is powerful enough just to destroy us all for some reason is good but in the end when we are at the lowest backstab and kill us all. Batman was being realist and knows since he did fought against supernatural beings while being in the justice league like: sinestro, faust, even when superman was mind control so he was one step ahead if any theres an attack since he studies his opponents before attacking thats what makes him dangerous.

      I always think of the damages from superhero/villain fights when watching it, who's going to pay? are there ANY insurances who covers it? (Bet they all have a "dosen't cover damages caused by hero/villain fights" clause) how many of the buildings need to be demolished because they've taken too much damage to be safe or it's cheaper than trying to repair them? how many people got hurt from the hero/villain smashing into all the buildings in a straight line through the whole city? How *LONG* is it going to take to rebuild/repair everything? Construction workers must have work 36/7 (YES I mean *36,* there's so much work that even IF they worked all day all week they would still need to work overtime).
      I want to see episodes where the hero gets told to "control your fighting and don't cause unnecessary destruction" so they have to focus on fx. taking the fight OUT of the city (SERIOUSLY, there are hero/villain fights where they fly into high orbit and then smash down ON THE EXACT SAME STREET THEY WERE JUST FIGHTING, I mean ffs) and instead of taking random cars and throwing them as if they were snowballs, the hero has to make sure there's as little damage to anything around them, so there aren't any cars stuck in the side of a buildings (or SAME car in multiple).

    Batman is right, yet a bit harsh. Clark was indeed too much optimistic and his thought was clouded by happiness to be enough critical with his cousin.
    The problem with Batman is, he always takes the worst prospective when facing a problem, and while pointing a problem is not necessarily a bad thing, the better thing to do would be to look for/propose a solution. At least one different from his CONTINGENCY PLANS where you ELEMINATE the problem to the root.
    Taking this matter fairly, he could have argued that Clark did trained years before entering the hero action, while Kara entered this new reality too much fast. She COULD be a menace without the proper training, as Clark COULD HAVE BEEN if he had started without taking consciousness of his actions and reactions to and with the environment.
    Kratos from GOW also stated it.
    IT DOESN'T MATTER OUR INTENTIONS. FOR GOOD OR BAD, OUR ACTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES. AND WE MUST ACCEPT THEM

    • @drifter139
      @drifter139 ปีที่แล้ว +59

      I have to disagree. Batman is right in how he thinks she's a threat. the reason Batman has plans to defeat the JL is because of the powers they have. he knows that if Superman were to turn against humanity, the chances of anyone stopping him is almost 0%. the same applies to Supergirl. both can fly, have heat vision, x-ray vision, super strength, super speed, and god only knows what else. they are basically gods to the people of Earth. Batman sees this and prepares for the worse case scenario. this is why what Uncle Ben said in Spider-Man is always important. with great power comes great responsibility. Kara destroyed a building and then just told the guy to get robots to fix it. then when the guy asked where the hell she came from, she calls Earth a backwoods planet proving she believes she is superior to him because of where she came from and her powers she recently gained. Batman is not wrong in his fear of people with powers. he's cautious of how they use them and whether they can control them. Kara just refuses to learn

    • @Amedroide
      @Amedroide ปีที่แล้ว +18

      @@drifter139 i squared COULD because there is the possibility, i dont disagree with this.
      Kara is at fault in the video, but her situation is more a Fishoutofwater rather than Threat. Even Clark needed to train and learn how to control his powers and especially how they could interact with the people. On Krypton, she had not powers because of a different Sun, so on Earth she suddenly found herself with new abilities she needed to put on test before heroing.
      That is my point, Clark knew about the difficulties correlated to having superpowers, and had YEARS of practicing before heroing around. With this kind of knowledge, he needed to train Kara more before bringing her to work.
      As for Batman, for how much his fears are justified, his philosophy 'if it can be a threat, then it is', he cant blame other people for being too much strong and show no trust without proves of the so called threat.
      If he doesnt put his trust on the others, likely the others will not trust him.
      Blind trust is bad, but the benefit of doubt is the least when you encounter new people

      One would kind of expect that the technology level would be explained to her before letting her out. Although knowing Batman it's possible he kept it for her so that she would know less of earth's weaknesses.

    Unpopular opinion incoming. Kara may have some blame in this situation but the JL hold most of the the blame because she is just a teenager and they are adults. Plus, she’s never had proper training on her powers and how to be a hero, especially in a busy city. She was never taught to deal with threats while doing as little damage as possible. Even Clark had to learn through trial and error, he just didn’t have Batman around to judge him at the time lol.
      I’m not using these as excuses, I’m saying these are things Batman should consider so he can use this knowledge to actually FIX the Supergirl problem, instead of just giving up on her. His character is notoriously too cynical for his and everyone else’s own good.

      Well Kryptonian’s can live for thousands of years as long as they have access to solar energy, mainly from a sun, so yeah, I think Superman is still a kid in the Kryptonian definition, a young adult to us, but not to them.
      Though I think there is something about Krypton’s atmosphere versus Earth’s atmosphere actually making Kryptonians age slightly faster than on Krypton, but still a really slow aging process.

    Ego combined with immaturity and inexperience have always been a recipe for disaster... _Humans_ her age can't even handle the idea of drinking responsibly; and she's got the power to flatten a city.
    She needs to grow up, but she needs an environment that can survive her as she does so.

    A super-powered brat (an immature demi-god) is functionally barely different than a villain. Superman shouldn't need to be told this. His life has been one long course in living responsibly among mere humans. They just have to make Batman say it so he's the tough dad of the family.

    It's like Batman never watched Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, Justice League, or any of the other cartoons where the collateral damage Batman leaves behind ain't nothing, and Superman regularly tosses people's cars around to smash big baddies.
    But Supergirl isn't perfect out of the gate, so....

    • @meisterigi007
      @meisterigi007 ปีที่แล้ว

      You missed the point. More than the destruction she has caused, on purpose, accidentally or collateral damage, Batman's issue with her is she doesn't even care. Granted, she is on a strange new world, with new powers that she only had for a couple of months, but it's her attitude that Bats is more concerned about. Combine her attitude with those godlike powers of hers makes her a threat... a very dangerous threat...
