Wow! great video as it sure helps me. I actually didnt even think about the gap between the tires while loading the bike, LOL, I'll be using my Subaru Ascent for taking my bikes around town and to the beach and I already have a two bike rack (bought from R.E.I.) which I leave on my RV.
Thanks "BP" for watching and the kind comments. Good luck if you decide to go this route. IMPORTANT POINT: measure the space between the wheel cradles with your bike already mounted properly. Had one viewer try this with the bike on the ground and never having placed the bike on the rack and it didn't work out so well. Dean
If I use the wheel base can I measure the bridge without mounting the bike on the rack? Also, can I use the curtain rod brackets like you did for the ramp and skip bending the bars in the vise? Thanks
@@butchie2752 Yes to both questions although on question number one, I felt it would be more accurate for me to place the bike in the wheel cradles first.
Ralph from the Lectric bike group, nice work very clever I will certainly consider the ramp thanks!
Thanks for the kind comments. Dean
Well done
Thanks David
