    After getting skunked on Big Deka I stopped on my way out to see if I could scrap up a couple Cariboo Kokanee on Little Deka. I quickly found fish and decided to return to Little Deka the next morning and chase the Kokanee I'd driven right over before.

    Not sure if anyone has told you this before, but you are most definitely the Bob Ross of fishing.

    That's sure a quick limit! Made up for the day prior.

    We went to nearby Bridge lake a few days ago but didn't have any luck other than a few nibbles. We didn't see anyone else catching anything either. Should've tried little Deka!

    Question for you…. I’m running a 106 Lost Creek. I have my down-rigger on on the port side and transducer on the starboard side and I’m finding myself paddling in circles to the left. I’m running a 4lb weight on the DR.
    Steering on these things are tough and I’m constantly using either my net or paddle to compensate.
    Any suggestions…?

      With a 10'6" kayak its going to struggle with tracking with a downrigger. Have you tried cutting down the downrigger arm so it is as short as you can possible run it? Switch out the cable for 30 lb braid to reduce drag.

      @@spiltmilt will definitely swap out the cable as it makes too much noise. The arm is short, but still sticks out 5 or 6 inches probably. I’ll look into repositioning it more into the middle of the kayak. Thanks for the input. Tight lines 👍🏻

    Little Deka? Didn’t know there is more than one Deka Lake.

    Do you fish at different speeds with the current vs against the current? Was at baker for opening day and was going .8 with the current and against it as well. I only ended up catching fish when going with the current. Coincidence? Also, thank you for all of your help from the sockeye video a couple videos back. Really helped a lot!!

    • @spiltmilt
      @spiltmilt  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I vary with and against current yes but Baker doesn’t have a ton of current I would guess angle relative to the sun may have played a role for you

      @@spiltmilt ah, that makes sense! Do you have a general rule of thumb for speed differences for with/against current?

      Its all based on action on the dodger and lure. I am looking for a good slow 1 second thump.

    Hi Tyler, just curious how long it takes to get orders from your store, I ordered 4 of your dropper weight charts a couple weeks ago. Was really hoping to get them before my next trip?
