I actually think mushrooms are become my favourite coral. The fact they are so easy to take care of and come in such a variety of beautiful colours is really making me want to start a mushroom only reef!
I’m very new to exploring marine biology and it’s seems every time I see or hear something new it’s the sickest thing I’ve ever seen/heard… until the next new thing! These organisms are AWESOME! Thank you for contributing to free educational content on the internet, it’s a huge help! 😊
He always says that the camera doesn’t pick up the colours but I see such amazing colours. My eyes couldn’t handle anymore amazing colour then that. Another awesome video 👊
The mushy you sent me last week got unhappy during shipping and detached. I have him under a glass cappuccino cup with some rubble , glad you mentioned the reattachment timeframe of a week.
You should do another update on the 13.5! I'd like to see the flow in the tank, the arrangement of the corals/why some are placed where they are and the filtration! Just a thought :) great video again!
Thank you for the great video! What do you recommend using as a container (and what preparation and location) to make a nursery within a frag tank.. I ask because my ricordea mushroom is not too happy and detached from it's frag plug
Hi March, I’m completely new to the hobby and sure I’m going to love it! Have a couple of zoas and some gsp, heard you say the camera doesn’t pick up colours I found that too but when I put my yellow dslr cam filter infront of my phone you can really see the colours on vid as in person, dunno if that will help, just a thought, love the vids by the way 👏🙌🙌
Only in Canada would you have to clarify "The coral not the drugs" XD either way I love my mushroom, grows really fast and now I have about 9 new polyps after I bought 1 small one
Can you do a video on why corals lose color or how to maximize color? I’ve noticed that most of, if not all of my coral lose some of their bright colors from when I first bought them. Not sure if I need to be dosing something or what. Any advice helps
I love mushroom because I can spend a lot and know they won't likely die except the Ricordea Yuma. Can you give us some hints on taking care of Yumas? They have more variety in colors and patterns than the Floridas but I love both.
I have a mushroom that was attached to my live rock when i established my tank, but I would like to move just the mushroom, and was wondering if it’s safe to essentially scrape the mushroom off the rock and relocate it?
There is No difference between ricordea and yuma Its called ricordea yuma and the other ones are called ricordea Florida So They are both ricordeas Got a huge variety of shrooms myself, even 4 jawbreakers 😁 bought 1 and it Split pretty fast st First, but now im stuck with 4 for at least 6 months

Very helpful and informative video, would you recommend Yuma mushrooms to be near each other or would that be problematic?
March, the mushrooms are beautiful.
Great video

The first mushroom I ever got was a rhodactis and I can confirm they are very easy to keep. Mine has survived a tank crash and it splits every month.

I have a small mushroom that attached itself to the side of my acan rock will they sting each other eventually? Love your stuff by the way.

So these should be kept under medium blue lighting?
How do you reposition Ricordea mushrooms? Mine got to big and is killing a Alveopora Colony
I have pink mushroom with blue dots and a green and blue mushroom
That fluval evo in the beginning, is that the light it comes with?
👆👆👆👆I recently started microdosing and using psilocybin coupled with therapy. It has helped opened my emotions up
Check him out 🖕
How do you frag those larger rocks with Rohdactis
Mine often bleach and/or shrivel up and detach from the rock and I have no idea why 😩
How much light and flow?
I need some of these in my nano
What par and lightcolor for mushrooms?
I have a mushroom that was attached to my live rock when i established my tank, but I would like to move just the mushroom, and was wondering if it’s safe to essentially scrape the mushroom off the rock and relocate it?
It would be better to use a dremmel to chisel out the rock around the mushrooms foot so it doesn’t stress it as much
What you guys feed them?
I loveeeeee mushrooms 🍄, The corals
What is the fully grown size of those
Will ricordea and star polyps hold their ground against each other or will 1 kill the other? Thnx
Can different species touch I wanna start a mushroom rock
Big note: fast grow discoma in mixed reef or sps tank is not good. I have purple discos that have pretty much choked out everything else.
Do mushroom coral mucus work the same way like sunscreen?
My mushroom coral decided to let go of the rock and into the HOB filter.
Do u sell online ?
I love Ricordea florida .
I can't keep ricordea they melt
There is No difference between ricordea and yuma
Its called ricordea yuma and the other ones are called ricordea Florida
So They are both ricordeas
Got a huge variety of shrooms myself, even 4 jawbreakers 😁 bought 1 and it Split pretty fast st First, but now im stuck with 4 for at least 6 months
