Good job on that video how to take care of Blastoise looking forward of the egg cans how to take care of those also enjoy your videos you guys are great
Blastos are probably my favorite beginner coral. I remember getting one with 2 heads 4 years ago, and 2 years later the bottom of my tank blew out and i gave it away to a friend. After i repaired the tank and got it funning again my friend reached out to me saying it wasnt doing well because one of his fish had destroyed it. I got it back from him and all that was left was just a tiny piece of flesh on the mouths of the coral. I dipped them and put them back in my tank. I fed them reef roids every other day, and within 4 months they grew back to normal, and are a massive colony. Its one of the few corals that I visually love that you cannot really kill unless something is eating them. Dont sleep on blastos.
Been having trouble keeping mine alive pretty sure he isn't coming back he just kept receding after a month and I tried moving him out of light but he just won't stop and all the other coral are fine
You said you were to talk about the good and the bad, but spoke only good. What about the bad, when you see your blasto retracted in the skeleton, with some algae on it ?
Another fantastic and informative video March, cheers mate. If I ever get to Canada I'd like to have a tour through your shop, happy to buy beers or whatever currency you like 👍
Question about lighting parameters, I guess. I've got Acans and Blastos on the sand bed of a 16g BioCube using a AI Prime 16 HD, the Blastos are shaded and perfect but the Acans started retreating at night after just a few days. Is that more normal, they seem fine during the day? If not and the unshaded Acans are getting light shock, what light intensity would you run with to leave them unshaded? Or should I just try to shade them all - trickier? Also, getting decent flow in a 16g is tough without beating them silly. I'm using Jaebo SW20 and have another. Set up two or where would you position the single? Curious about your lighting parameters.
Hello I am having issues with my tank, it is a 7 gallon cube, It has been running for 10 years now, I just added some hammers, torches, can and a open brain, they are all small frags but they were really nice at the LFS, they have been in my tank for 2 weeks, I have been feeding small doses of Oyster Feast and Reef Roids, I have a 360X 3 feet off the water at the lowest setting in blue. I use Tropic Marine Salt, and I did a 60% water change prior to adding the corals. I have a Aqua Clear filter on it with a small power head. I would say the corals do not look good and one looks like it is almost gone, in two weeks. Any ideas or course to take.
@@bretthuffine Yeah but it is a powerful light for a 12" cube tank, I have been to wholesalers and there lights are really high off the water as well. So far it is working I keep turning up the power very slowly. I want to upgrade the tank to a 15" cube and put my other AI Prime HD on it it.
Loves these videos about the coral info. Keep them coming
big agree
Very nice selection of Blastos March. They provide such a nice splash of color to your reef..
Thanks for reminding me about all the beautiful Blastos I can't afford.

I will buy some Blasto's this week, my LFS has a few nice ones in stock.
Blastos and acans have quite a lot of similarities. Good advice about the names!
The first time I dosed Iodine, and a few weeks latter Magnesium, I was pleasantly surprised by the results both produced!
Love your vibe its always so happy bro keep up the great work! Video was super informative wish I lived near you to pick one of them beauty's up!

Nice video! Can you put the plug directly on the sand? Do they need rock surface to propagate?

This video is responsible for me starting a mini Blasto garden in my tank haha.

Do it Fabian !
Great video. Thanks March.
You're the man March! 💯👏🏻
woop woop
There are actually 3 varieties in the Video. B. melerti, B. wellsi and B. vivida
And the Vivida are pretty hard to interduce to the aquarium and pretty bad after fragging.
Great video!
These are my favorite videos.
Are the wild ones harder to keep? I lost both frags of nice big blastos that were wild!
Appreciate the video, have a great evening.
I'm in the USA, but love the content. What camera do you use to make your videos?
Cannon t8i
Love Blastos. Wanted to collect some but, then they blastod mucho out of my price range .
Mine do great in high light and high flow🤔
What a great idea, it is just beautiful..
What dc return pump would you recommend to upgrade my reef casa 24????
Can they be kept with Acans and Duncans or is space needed between them all

3 feet above the tank seems a little high off the water

Reefcasa website says the Flat 6 is 12g, that is not correct I’m assuming it’s 6??
