Are there any similar procedures to install apple carplay on JBL systems (which looks the same as in the video) for XLE Hybrid models in India 😢 or shall I do the same steps? In the website in your description it said the file is only for Canada, US and Mexico 😭
What a life saver! I was able to update my 2018 Camry this afternoon in about 15-20 mins max. I called my dealership earlier before attempting it myself, I was told the job was going to take 2-3 hours and it would cost $179 (before tax). I searched for a second option, and stumbled onto this tutorial among a few others. I am SOOO glad I found this tutorial it saved me 180+ bucks and a lot of wasted time. I appreciate you doing this tutorial, it was SUPER easy and I recommend doing it yourself. I was a little worried about it initially but I got it done quickly with no hiccups. I did have good weather for it though 30°F, I just opened all my windows and sat in the car while it updated. EZPZ. I used a 32 GB Samsung flash drive slow formatted the drive dropped the files in there and followed the tutorial. 10/10.
Nice!! Glad it worked out. I see a lot of people here who are not able to find files. Did you have any issues ? And how were the files placed in the USB drive ?
@@WorksforMe I found the files on the ToyotaNation website, I had ZERO issues personally and it was completely done updating in less than 20 mins. Other versions, you should find it in the PDF instructions to find which one is right for your car, and check your model id at menu->general->software update->then click model information. - I formatted the USB before moving the files into it. - Make sure that you just move those 2 individual files into the usb that are not under a folder. in which country are you located ? A 2019 camry SE should already have carplay
@@WorksforMe Im from South Carolina US bro. No mine doesn't have carplay
@@ShoXruxTJ Gotcha. That is surprising. A 2019 Camry should have carplay by default on all trim levels....
I just purchased a used 2018 Camry XSE. I continue to get a message about software update is required for Entune, but I read Entune is gone. I do have the option for CarPlay. When I plug in my I phone, I have CarPlay. I assume this whole video procedure will do nothing for me as I already have CarPlay functionality?? I just wish I could get rid of the several screens telling me that I need to update Entune!! Is there any way to accomplish THIS??
If you already have CarPlay, someone has already done this procedure for you! About the Entune update, I read on forums that if you go to Settings and Delete Personal data it will most likely disable that message (but also delete Audio presets and other personal data).
Wow, kicking myself for not doing this sooner. So glad I didnt installl an aftermarket radio before seeing this video.
I have Camry sport V6 3.5 2018 GCC with CD and NAV what option I have to install ?

Ummm can you PLEASE do a tutorial on how to do this. I’m so confused because I have never even used a flash drive!
Thanks for the tutorial. My car is 18 camry se. So which software is for my car. There is lots of software on your description.
Hello everyone I literally just used this and it worked used a 10 pack 4gb 2.0 usb drive from amazon and worked like a charm no need for formatting the usb either, I DID RUN INTO A PROBLEM THE FIRST TIME with a different usb… the update essentially got stuck and wouldnt continue so the update screen was literally stuck couldnt play music even resetting var battery did nothing, so when the car turns on before the update screen comes on and it gives you the warning about driving I spammed the menu and audio buttons on dash and it got around the update screen. I THEN used the usb drive in the 10 pack i got above reinstalled the update and everything went smoothly

Try an old school usb drive

Thank you for this. Followed the instruction from A to Z. Make sure you take out the files from the zip folder or else the car won’t read it.
