This was confusing. On the one hand, companies cannot build smaller homes because it's too expensive then on the other, we have the sheds @3:34. It seems that the market is operating to exclude those not interested in a 2,000+ sq ft house. This could be changed, but the real estate Ponzi scheme relies on an artificially managed shortage.
It's not that they can't be built, it's that the cost to build is too high for this market. If builders can make money building anything they will build it, but here the general consensus is that no one is willing to pay $200k+ for a 150SF home 30+ min from the city. They would rather just spend 300k on a resale 800SF condo 15 min from the city.
That's great and really promising to hear. I hope you continue to build as many as possible. Unfortunately here, that would only cover about 1/3 to 1/5 the cost of the water/sewer hookup (at 150SF).
Hi pretty informative video. I do feel like the camera switching is unnecessary for this style video. The transitions between angles are abrupt and unnatural given it is just you in the video and you do not acknowledge it when you cut to that view. While I understand you might be experimenting given the variations in your video formatting and trying to find what works and what you like, just remember sometimes less is more.
"the government is very careful about what they pay for" HAHAHAHAHA ya they carefully waste money constantly. Reguardless, it doesnt take that much money to build a small structure, time is money and I have built small ADU's by myself in around 2 weeks. A construction crew would have done it in just a couple days. Its just not profitable for a construction company so they over price things.

I build them for $68 per sq ft… and they’re nice.
