  • Produced and Directed by Tim Tynan. Narrated by Patty Loew. The Chippewa Flowage is the largest human-made lake in Wisconsin. It attracts thousands of visitors each year. But it is a bittersweet reminder of a battle lost by the Lac Courte Oreilles at Old Post.

    I have just enjoyed a vacation on the flowage and did not know the history. I heard something about the logging and then the flooding of moose lake. Thanks for posting the video. I almost missed it as the name of the original production was "The Center of the Earth" and it was not in the title.

    The way I understand it , the Power Lease for the dam ended in 1970 ? Why don't the Ojibwe From that Territory Get the Property back and start the healing process .

    and they need to give back to whoever was there before them, in this case the Fox Indians
