I’m a former LEO, during my service and even after I’ve continued to watch your videos and apply your tips and guidance throughout my training! You’re awesome and I think I speak for everyone when I say your videos and classes are making all of us better 👍🏼
I appreciate that you mention that its' subjective to the user. I see that point being missed in a lot of videos from instructors. Appreciate the information and the comprehensive build list.
Love the explanation of why you push the optic forward in the slot. I've never heard that, but definitely going to try it. Great information in this video.
Good lookin setup homie! Its nice to hear that theres a why behind every placement of every attachment. This vid will help alot of new builders out there 🤙🏼🍻
Been looking forward to this vid since you replied about it coming soon in a comment I made in another vid! Great info & always love all the knowledge you share! Keep on rocking! Thank you brother🤙🏻!
This video was phenomenal. I subscribed and will be taking in more of your content. Definitely gave me some things to think about as I am working on a change up for my rifles.
Been waiting for this drop. Awesome explanation of your set up and why. Maybe include a view of what your set up looks like through the optic next time. I’m curious how much your laser gets in the way of the lower portion of your view. Thanks for the top notch content Rick
I was listening too everything u was saying but the background music had me making my own songs I was lovin music and ur AR15 setup she is very gorgeous gal .
Damn. I can’t imagine how that feels. Let me know if you need any help relocating to AMERICA home of the FREE! 😂 As funny as this my be to joke about it’s truly sad that states like Illinois, California, NY, Massachusetts, Colorado, and a growing number of more states choose to go this route when we as a country were founded by brave armed men & women who at the time were considered criminals. Enemy of the crown. 👑

I did enjoy the video Rick! I like the systematic approach to each items placement on the rail. I've never done the witness marks before so I'll be doing some of those pronto. Good stuff from AHT as usual.
@@achillesheeltactical Thank you for the feedback. Just picked up an ADM UIC 13.9”. What light, mount and tail cap was featured or what setup do you recommend? Thanks in advance.
Thanks for the video, I would like to purchase my first rifle with the same set up you gave in this video, but some of the links in the description just go to the website, and not the specific item. Anyway you can give the exact links to the items that you equipped the rifle with?
I have been on the fence between a T2 and a holosun red dot. Why did you go Holosun for this build? And would this optic be feasible for use with nods? Thank you Rick!
I'm not Rick, but my two cents are that it is a good and very inexpensive starter dot. Can use it later as a backup red dot when you pick up a T2 or holographic. Only 2 NV settings instead of more means the lowest brightness are barely visible... all you need.
I would pay the extra money for anodizing under the cerakote in similar color underneath as Sarah coat you can have a beautiful match but underneath the upper to be lighter color in FDE and the other being darker wouldn’t mind I do like the gray almost like a forged anodized Chalky color. The arrow of Paris the radian body is the best for money just put barrel of choice and u get the radian build kit where u need to do barrel trigger and buffer tube setup also grip and safety Takes about 10 min if u know and gtg n The barrel extension is going to be under sized so you have to use a small torch for depending on how strong it is you don’t want to go with a super high power bike a regular CO2 filled torch and you keep the thread until they open up enough for you to quickly let beer barrel extension in and then it clamps down on it as it cools my NIovesle barrel that is 416r Extensions no trade in it and then with the cerakoted extension Is I don’t want to say slick it’s got a sandy finish to it so it tightly fits snow in there to wear I torqued and seasoned I seasoned the barrel nut a lot but I torch it to the lower end up at the spectrum and about 35 pounds so it’s good locked up well A lot of high end uppers do offer the thermal fit like the two I’ve already mentioned and then you have centurion arms on their forged matched receiver sets and I’m sure other companies as well but a lot it’s really only a slim fit right in so I’ve been starting to use the Loctite 680 and it’s for like bearing surfaces are slim fit joints which the barrel is in the extension but I just love the radian lvl up entire receiver set and rail all feel like one piece how are you doing literally Chuck magazines as saying trying to do quick reloads as I now depress with my right hand thumb onto the button as a left hand and it is a lot harder than people really think
I'm not sure when it comes to Holosun but that is not the right way to put on optics with qd levers. Some optics you can ruin them by doing it that way. You only should be tightening the screw when the level is open. Then if it's too loose you open it back up and retighten, it's basically a guessing game. When you close the level it should be tight but not too tight in that last 45% of closure.
You blew my mind on your how to grip a carbine video. Thumb - pinky leverage! But every other popular shooter is saying to pull the grip and support hand as tight as you can to mitigate recoil.???? With your sling tension and that thumb-pinky leverage YOU ARE the truth. Sorry I’m driving
Mike! I appreciate you man! Different strokes for different folks but this is definitely what I have seen work for new shooters to understand how to subjectively mitigate recoil for the individual.
I set up my rifles the same always now and the reason sort of for that is everything feels the same having my pressure switch in a cloud defensive mount using the STS7 on a DS00 that’s what I Ron always as I’m not gonna accidentally bump that button but NOW we have options for example if you were in the military and ran a regular M4 or m16 which usmc I’m sure still running logistics are horrible but just say you have a your newly rifle is an M4 gap with the 7in knight's rail You have only so much real estate and 2008 2012 time Picatinny and the longer rails and systems got bettter for operators not infantry The RS two isn’t even getting recycled into regular units they’re using now like a quad rail attachment that like attaches to your fucking printer and post some app when I get it militaries cheat especially the USMC who runs out of toilet paper like it’s no one‘s business you would think someone at the higher level is stealing money ahead of our shitpaper In a military scenario Using envy jeans and a pew 15/or /LA5/ 16 usmc didn’t want is separate white light today got a whole ton of what is it like 100 lm pretty low light but that’s been saving money by not going with a separate white light so you’d have your RCO your LA5/peq and maybe a vert grip and knights panels like hey that’s what u get and under duress it’ll work great I don’t think having a extremely complicated system is kind of benefit and a no shit scenario I would unplug all the wires from my rifle and the white lights there for in case it’s needed share you can go with an IR head but I would do it if it was our only and I had a separate bezel in my pack Weber my lights all the way but then again so I have real systems now you don’t even use your rail to be 100% zeroed you just have to use a GBrs hydra

Would you recommend beginner students to have optics (in addition to iron sights) on their carbine for your baseline carbine classes?
Yes. Optics will assist you in the class for sure!
Do you prefer the meat hook or emissary handbrake?
Both are great! I think I like the extra real estate with the emissary

It’s just what I had laying around to run on this rifle. I’ll let you know how it performs!
I'm not Rick, but my two cents are that it is a good and very inexpensive starter dot.

Only 2 NV settings instead of more means the lowest brightness are barely visible... all you need.
Any issues with that specific optic?
None. It’s solid
What color was this build?
Patriot Brown
Do you run BAD levers on all your rifles?
I think you need to add a few more sight solutions 🙄
What type of optic?
Red dot

For this optic specifically, the manual actually does call for this exact process for installation! Weird, I know, just following instructions!
