    The RDS is just evolution brought to the pistol platform for the reason of human behavior & allowing the shooter to stay focused on what intends to kill them & stay accountable to target. The eye can only focus one 1 thing at a time! Stay focused on what is important and cut down the reaction time while increasing the individual bandwidth!

    Tiger analogy was great but the Chrome/cursor example took it home. Great vid!

    3:59 is what armed civilians need to understand about guns. A CCW doesn't deputize you. a gun only comes out in the wild when you're justifiably going to kill somebody.

    I've naturally always focused on target with pistol sights. All three sight formations with pistol are slightly blurred, but their alignment is perfectly clear along with the target.

    • @writingonthewalls9052
      @writingonthewalls9052 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Now imagine if you only had one sight formation to pay attention to instead of three. And it’s not as blurred. And it’s more accurate. And has greater range.

      @@writingonthewalls9052 Well, not all guns you might have to use in a given scenario are guaranteed to be outfitted with a red dot.
      More people are jumping directly TO red dots to initially learn, and that's not smart. The more broadly trained a person is with sighting systems the better.

    • @writingonthewalls9052
      @writingonthewalls9052 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Tec-WeRX_CITIZEN_PREPAREDNESS red dots are also better for learning. You can diagnose things with red dots without firing rounds that you cannot diagnose with irons until you see a target. And even then it’s more trial and error. Grip (arguably the most important fundamental) for example. Red dots are also harder to master than irons. They force you to master the fundamentals faster. A shooter who masters their fundamentals with a red dot can shoot irons no problem. The same is not necessarily true the other way around.
      Irons are cool, sure, red dots are just superior in every single significant way. Shoot what you want though.

  • @Security-tb7hf
    @Security-tb7hf ปีที่แล้ว +7

    In summary: Red Dots are best for complete target discrimination when compared to Irons. They also allow the shooter to process information faster because the RDS operates on a single focal plane where you can establish a relationship with the target via your dot (instead of front site, rear site and target). I'm an iron site guy but I have already decided im going dot life on my other glock. The future is here, we're just living in the past.

      Rifle is Rifle
      Rifle is accuracy, durability, and reliability
      Optic is seeing
      Optic is clarity, durability, and reliability.
      Seeing is knowing
      Knowing is shooting
      You can shoot with any rifle
      Should you shoot and how you track the consequence of your actions is determined by seeing.
      I would rather put good glass on an okay rifle, than putting garbage glass on a good rifle.
      I would prefer to just have a good rifle with good glass, but that can always be done over time.
      I'm gonna say that you should go to stores and check various red dots of vetted brands for clarity before buying. Most people with astigmatism do not know that they have it, and some emitters look better to certain eyes

    If you want to draw a gun only to shoot it and that's your standard, fine, but saying that people would be stupid for drawing a gun to give commands is ridiculous.

    • @themightycrixus1131
      @themightycrixus1131 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Doing that is illegal in most if not all states. You drawing a gun on someone can actually give THEM the ability to lawfully use deadly force. Brandishing is an illegal act and can lead someone to reasonably asses you as a threat of grievous bodily injury or death.
