Kayak Fishing Crystal Clear Lake for Big Bass!

This week I fished a crystal clear MD lake searching for some big spring bass. I spent two days fishing Little Seneca Lake in the kayak under some beautiful cloudy conditions. I managed to catch a good number of large-mouth bass on finesse tactics. I also spend some time at the end of the video giving you some tips to catch fish with a drop-shot rig.

The lake it’s a little far from you, but it definitely has good fishing opportunities. Safety is always first.👍🏽

Good job out on Seneca. I haven’t had much luck there on the bank this year. Might need to get the yak out and maybe even try the drop.

Yeah that lake is kinda tricky. They’re around wood rn so try the dropshot and maybe a jig! Good luck!

do you have any tips / locations for beginner fishers in maryland? i just got a fishing rod and set with some worms, spinner baits, chatter baits, and swim baits. I tried little seneca from the shore today, but had no luck. small fish were trying to eat my worm but it was too big for them, and the big bass werent coming out.

Spring spawn in over by now so fish have scattered already. My best advice if you are fishing moving baits is to start fishing early in the day. like dawn! Fish usually feed better in grassy areas early morning. If you’re fishing later in the day slower baits like senkos or jigs might work. Try Gunners lake with a frog early morning.
