    Disclaimer: This is my first Integral "hidden tang" knife. I have forged a few Integral knives where the entire knife is Integral including the handle.

    Great job on everything. I haven't tried this yet. It's a blast trying new stuff. Forged up a couple Lin Rhea Xray blades. Lots of fun. Look forward to part two. Thank you.

    I enjoyed and appreciate the information on how you forge your integral bolster in and how you forge out your blade I think it helps people understand more of what your process is and how you accomplished it and as for the clip point of the blade I think just round it off on the corners and it's going I like the profile

    Good job. Inspired to try it...... I'd maybe do the main bevels first before deciding on false edge or not.....

    Always interesting to see that much knife come from what seems like such a small piece of bar. I dig the clip point profile. I think I'd go with the bevel on top as well..

    A really knice job brother ! The first pair of tongs would wear me out. Meaning how far apart handle end is. My hands aren’t very big. I’d have to heat it up and bend the handles in a bit. That new hammer is awesome. I need one like that bad.

    • @theriversexperience9383
      @theriversexperience9383  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I just got the tongs and that was the first time using them. They are adjusted now lol, it was kinda uncomfortable holding them.

    Turned out great, very nice cross peen hammer too, I've wanted one for a while but I'm going to have to make one as well... which will most likely not be my best looking effort!

    • @theriversexperience9383
      @theriversexperience9383  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That cross peen was made by "Old Hickory Forge" here on TH-cam, I was able to get it at Blade Show Atlanta.

      @@theriversexperience9383 Oh I bought a 4ft length of 2" 1055, I've just been procrastinating that it magically turns into hammers overnight without me doing anything to it :)
      Well that and I've been busier than normal catching up on stuff, so hopefully the mid year slump gives me a bit of time to make some more tooling

    Super awesome video. Thanks for going into detail on hammer selection and explaining why and how you’re hitting things! Super helpful for people like myself who don’t have a ton of time on the anvil! I think it could look cool to grind in a Swedged at the top of the clip point! I’m currently studying your playlist series on your first hit and Thang knife as I am trying to do my first as well. Can’t wait to see how you put a handle up against the integral bolster! Thanks again brochacho!

    i tried an integral from a little spring but it had about a hundred cracks in it when i was grinding. it was a super awesome design and i had the perfect little peice of wood for it. kinda a bummer but whatever.

    get yourself a 3/4 fuller for your hardy and you can use it in conjunction with the straight peen to isolate your transitions. if i remember correctly frank makes his peens 3/4" 🙂
