Pinned comments are for clarifications! When Adam flips up Personal Spoofing he does not activate the effect, this allows Betty to chain the Imperm in response to the Personal Spoofing in order to negate its column. He never used Spoofing to shuffle back the target!
Hey Garret do you remember the time World Chalice won a YCS in 2018? Could you do a video about this since this also was an unbelievable underdog win comparable with the time Prank-kids won.
Hi, as a new player, your videos are really helpful because they give opportunities to dive into decks and playstyles and learn about the game's possibilities. Thank you a lot ! Edit: I also really enjoy storytelling videos about competitive games !!
Loved this content, not only it was really entertaining to go back to that match, also it felt like I got little better in understanding the game and technical play, please keep this up!!🙏
13:33 right here, since Imperm did not negate the monster, it did not resolve, so it's effect to negate Spells and Traps in it's column cannot apply, so he could activate the set. Probably just another thing that wasn't caught in the heat of the moment, great vid btw!
Multifaker resolve on a New chain, so Imperm did negated the zone. When you try to resolve a Continues trap without using the effect, you need the continues trap to resolve in order to use the effect. Multifaker would trigger on a New chain, so princess negated the Multifaker on hand, by tributing the already negated Marionnetter.
Great content man, first and foremost. I would love if you covered the time Shu Ping Xu won a UDS in Tulsa( I think ?) with his Rokket Deck. I remember no one saw that coming when everyone was expecting Spyral and Salad to top.
Forgive me if this has been said already and has been lost among the sea of the comment section, but the effect of demise of the land is a mandatory effect and mandatory effects can never miss timing.
would you ever consider doing old ARG/Konami streams of older formats? It might not be relevant to modern play but it might be cool like Jeff Jones playing harpy or Billy Brake losing to Water in full power Metalfoes
Man this was a great video. I am new to yugioh how I started was playing Master Duel. I've have played a few games at Locals too. I play Rikka Sunavalon.
Yo, Garret! Genuine question: How do you pick those feature matches to showcase in the channel? Like, what led to decision of talking about this specific match?
Small nitpick - the "riveting gameplay" text scrolling in from left to right instead of right to left was a bit dizzying since i couldnt read the text as it was entering the picture, as the end of the word came in first
Am I missing something, or was Demise of the Land still live in that game 2? The column negate of Imperm is a “then”, so if the targeted monster was tributed (or shuffled back with spoofing), cards in that column should still be live right?
Indeed, it's just that the playerbase of it is too small, the deck is too hard to pilot and the meta is too much for it to be worth playing over anything else.
This type of stuff iy why i insidt people need to learn what their engine can do and how costs can be benefits, the amount of times i managed to play after droplet emptying my hand so infernity archfiend could resolve, the amount of times ive won by causing mystic mine to blow up by tributing my own stuff, the amount of times ive won by setting up my hand in a way that GUARANTEED i get to mill 3 and sulliek away a tear name, this stuff is exactly why focusing on 1 very solid deck that wont get hit is so much smarter thsn hopping between meta decks, unless you play at the highest level
@@chibiraptor yeah but it's not optional it says when then activate no you can so if the activation of a field spell isn't optional and a monster was summoned the game recognized it so at the first opportunity demise should be activatable just like traptrix myrmilo (I don't know how to spell her name lmao) says when this card and it must activate when if it's not the last thing to happen say as cl3 the game recognized the summon and at the first opportunity it activates demise should also have the same trigger window because a summon was preformed in the chain I mean I could be wrong but the only cards I know of that miss any activation window are "when" "you can" either way fuck mystic mine regardless
@@majickman ok I didn't see this before I replied to other person if that's the case then yeah my bad lol but konami dumb for this imo problem solving card text should include that lmao
@@SpyralRiz If it works like Torrential then the only thing that matters is that the summon was performed on Chain Link 1. It doesn't matter that effects were activated in between Demise and the Summon so Demise of the Land should resolve in that situation since Strenna resolves in a new Chain as far as I know. If it summoned immediately then Demise would miss timing.
its actually quite simple. the thing before has to be the last thing happening and it has to be chain link 1 of the previous chain. if its not, misses timing. thats it. actually good because you can sometimes outplay annoying when effects. gives you more player agency.
Was going to comment about being surprised that Alex wasn't running a Spider Orchid in the side to out mystic mine, then I remembered that Spider Orchid is a terrible card that is arbitrarily unable to pop field spells.
It's no wonder Plants wins so much, people just don't read the cards and the plant pilot can get away with things like activating 2 Glamours in the same turn lol

bro your channel is gold, i skipped like 3 years of metagame and this helps so much catching up with all the random stuff
I love how you narrate Competitive YGO, it's an interesting new touch to the community

Please keep making content. You have some of the most interesting and unique yugioh content on the platform.
Hands off one if not the most enjoyable ygo content creators to watch

funnily enough the deck isnt even close to dead. The Plantsmiths Tcg has a few videos on how to combo after the banlist
Seems more like a "crash course to out mystic mine with rikka" but I don't know what I expected
"Rest in Peace" he said
"Get a new deck" he said
the sunavalon cards rotated out of the format and the raika cards rotated in

@@PhyYuGiOh it's not pinned though
Multifaker trigger after resolution not chaining when a trap activates like lady Labrynth
It should still negate the effect.

New deck for EU incoming in february. Aromage support, plants are back in the menu boys. #plantgang
here's to the rikka threepeat this year!
God-tier content, holy
I love the plant girls so much, it was so hard building them in DL, but it was still so fun ^^
Everyone saying plants are dead and here I am breaking boards and obviously winning if I go first most times
I break boards going first or second 😂 but people keep saying plants are dead
Before: Waifu>Meta
Now: Waifu=Meta

these videos always rock!

Nah come on bro Loci is still 1 card full combo. The deck is very solid post banlist. Jasmine will get hit one day and then plant pile is ruined.

multifaker activates on a new chain, so marionetter wasn't tributed until after imperm resolved
How can Rikka decks play against a first-turn player who setup field spell Legendary Ocean with Tornado Wall?
Rikka is more than playable post banlist so please dont be fooled
Indeed, it's just that the playerbase of it is too small, the deck is too hard to pilot and the meta is too much for it to be worth playing over anything else.
hot take: with cosmic cyclone being played at 3 maindeck nowadays, mine could come back
Plant.Best.Deck
rikka sunavalon is fine after banlist lol
Alex the goat!

YOOO
But it doesn't say "you can" so it can't miss timing here I may be wrong but I think demise of the land is totally fine
Activating demise of the land is optional.
Only mandatory effects can't miss timing.
normal trap cards and quickplay spells generally skip the "you can" part because activating the card itself is already electing to use the effect
