Hey Shea, how would you say this game stands out (if you ignore theme/art for a moment)? What makes this especially good or better than other great worker placement games?
I'd say that a big difference is the variability of action spaces. Most games don't shuffle them around and pair them up the way this one does. There are tons of things that make this game great, but if you're looking for ways that it stands out, that's a big one for me.
Do you feel the experience is deep in terms of strategy, or wide and the game experience might diminish over time when novelty and systems have been explored?
It's hard to say without playing it a bunch of times. This is just a preview after all and I've only had it for so long. I do think that because of how much variability there is, each time you play you'll have to work the systems a little differently, so that should keep it fresh through multiple playthroughs at least.
How do you make a video review of a game and not show the board? o_O
