Galactic Cruise is AMAZING! 🚀 (Game Overview and Full Review!)

- Hey there, everyone! Quick story for you: so when the designers of Galactic Cruise mentioned on Facebook that they had a few prototype copies of the game available to circulate around to some content creators, I immediately filled out the form but didn't get my hopes too high as a relatively small channel in the space... much to my surprise, before long there was a copy on its way! 📦 I was incredibly excited to get the game played and had a chance to play the game five times in one week (I did end up playing another solo game right after filming this review!) and I've been very, very happy with the game! It's hard to remember that the game is still a prototype because it looks (and plays) like a polished euro in every sense of the word! I'm blown away with how good the game is from three new-to-the-scene designers and I'm hoping this game continues to soar in popularity so they can bring us many more games in the future! It's absolutely a game you should check out if you're into mid- to heavy-weight euros and the theme is so fun and baked into every decision you make! Check out the Kickstarter today if you haven't already... but don't wait too long to pull the trigger; the last day to back the game is April 3rd! 🚀

Haha, thank you, Dale! 🤣 I think the quote I was trying to reference was "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened" but I'll stand by what I said... whatever it was! 🤣 (But the pain of not being able to play this game for a whole year is definitely real! Wish we could have played it together!)
@@BoardGameDavehaha yeah I got where you were going. I feel the pain. I've decided to give up on kickstarters too, since the price drops so rapidly after retail these days. I would have loved to try GC as well but I'll just wait for retail.

Excellent review in less than half an hour! I really appreciate your scoring process and how in depth you get into the details- very helpful. Also, thanks for being honest about game length and cost; I love long games, but it's hard to convince people to that much time. Great job!

I was hoping the video would be a bit more concise than it ended up being but I'm glad you didn't mind the length! ☺️ And I'm always honest with my reviews but I might be especially sensitive to people's time and budget restraints! Playing a 3+ hour long game after a ~45 minute long teach is definitely not everyone's cup of tea! 🤣 Although depending on who you play the game with it might not take as long as it took me and my friends-who knows? ☺️ Thanks again for checking out the video and for the comment!
Looks like a beautiful game, 👌 but kinda have to agree the, price does seem a bit high.
Quick question, I've been looking into roll/ flip and write games, do you have any recomendations? Or know of a solo game that doesn't get old fast?
There's no escaping that it's an expensive game for sure but it's so well-designed and even the prototype has amazing art and components! 😬 And I wish I had some good roll/flip and write games to recommend to you-that's not a genre I've explored too much, unfortunately! My wife and I enjoy Fleet: The Dice Game which is a fun roll and write game! But there are SO many out there these days and a lot of them seem solo-able! I’ll add that it never felt long.
For me, the three-hour game felt like just the right length of time! 🕒 The only part of our almost four-hour game that felt long was right at the very end, maybe even after the game end was triggered. (But it was also pretty late at night and it was a school night so that could certainly have been part of it!) Hopefully we'll get to play it much more once the Kickstarter fulfills next year! Can't wait to have a finished copy! 🚀
