I committed the heresy of going only T1P1 (with +5 prot/+10SR&FR dormant) using the monkey sacreds and commanders so not having to worry about moving demons around on expensive or low leadership commanders. Gives much better gold economy/research at price of less good sacred stats/slaves. Also monkey sacreds did not mind sharing a stack/good formation with bandar warriors whilst building up critical mass.
@@BabelBuilder correction to earlier post as old game over expanded and not good as the mid late is all about earlier preparation. So long as I diverted enough of the builds better economy/logistics into research/blood/site search etc with cap dedicated to the cap only mages esp air it can be good. Early Mid game head for order opponent preferably using heavy buffs (Pretender earth/glamour/Astral + nature) on monkey sacreds (also animal buff), arrows, resistances and some summons. Later the air/shock and death/air stuff on line and enough air mages with some indi ones, plus blood/death summons and can use best demons in a turmoil opponents domain. Pretender can teleport bomb the thrones or project. The blood economy is not as hindered much on T1 as lower patrol pop loss and unit commitment. Enjoying it not a strategy where all stacks the same.
Hey can you do a EA Xibalba dom 6 nation overview? No one has done one yet and i am really looking forward to hearing more about how to play the nation
I was terrible with them in 5! Hopefully, I have learned a thing or two and will like them more now! They also tempt me so with their national spell for the sun!
Prophet comment: I like to prophetize a raktapana from turn 3 on. The investment pays two dividends: (1) blood 1 opens the sabbath master play for accessibly holy 4-5 shenanigans; (2) reanimator priest gets an efficient buff from holy 1 to holy 3, which increases the number of ape longdead brought in from 3+ to 7+. I like that in my prophet's toolkit when preaching isn't necessary.
You could make a Bandaraja your second (or third) prophet and empower him in blood. 50 blood slaves is a bargain price. If you follow him around with 2 Raktapatas, you can sabbath up to H4, grabbing fanaticism as well for a total of +3 morale for all of his troops in one fell swoop. Should you be worried about him getting tainted by empowerment in Blood, empower them until you get one that wasn't noticed by horrors, then prophetize him.
Take undead leadership bless and then non-forte temple provinces with indie priests can be your demon sacred expansion leaders. Using recruit point 2 fort mages as commanders spends fort turns on commanders instead of blood hunters or researchers or undead summoners which is what they’re needed for.
@@BabelBuilder if you're going for only BV/REGEN then yours is is what is best, i just like stygian flesh and blood bond though even quickness can be done with the oracle if ya wanna go for extra killy sacreds. only being able to make fort recruit 2 commanders without armor leading lankas small sacred expansion parties hurts your research/blood alot. only 1 undead leadership makes it so you can keep your blood/researchers and dedicate a single nonfort temple to make expansion party commanders. that or if you're lucky and find a demon priest province (oni recruit) since theyre priests with 10 undead leadership and also can random some M paths. using cost effective non-fort recruit priests as expansion party commanders lets your forts start your blood economy rolling. Try your build with D4 instead of E4 and instead of 1 vitae go for undead leadership 1. that keeps your build almost the same though it will make it so your palankashas/rakshasa warriors/sandybharas get 3HP regen (30HP) instead of 4HP (31) regen though the utility you get from undead leadership nonfort commander expansion parties is worth more than 1HP regen in my opinion. also, as much as praghasas arent as good as the other sacred units, getting 18 of them for 1 mage turn can be cost effective if you're wanting more researchers/blood hunters instead of blood summonders.
So I know that the shortbow monkey's a shit I know but everytime I play EA Lanka I always recruit one army with a stupid amount of them just to see how many arrows I can fire off in a single battle. Do they get slaughtered the second anything reaches them, yes but its funny as hell going all DAKKA with a horde of monkeys.
I keep hearing Wonka when I try to listen to this while I work
This ain't your grandpappi's candy factory; this is a free range, long-pork meat pie operation for the modern world!
Bro he's saying Wonka frfr
Your pre-game videos are starting to become my main source for information about whatever nation the random number generator gave me ;)
Love to hear it! I was just looking through EA and was amazed at what we've covered so far!

What was your main battle winning strat in the mid-late game with that build?

Possibly my favorite nation in Dom 5, I'm looking forward to this
I fear for us all on this one!
I love Lanka
They do so many different things they are great to learn the basics of blood, undead, summons, decent national troops
Lanka does have a lot going on. Good intermediate learning nation, I agree. Bit on the tough side for a beginner though!
Anusara have no need to eat. In a roster full of Gluttons these guys keep the supply issue in check.
Undead are another non-eating troop to use if you get to the point of supply issues.
@@BabelBuilder True. I was thinking of blessed Units but my original comment didn't mention that so thats on me.

Great points. Lanka's prophet is going to be really busy no matter who you pick!
Blood Vengeance and Regeneration will probably destroy most of the AI, looking forward to it
Now, if we can just avoid any Euro-beat-drifto situations, we should be golden!
This is going to be interesting.
This is going to be a wild ride. Surely, it can't go as bad as last week's start!
Right?
Right....
@@BabelBuilderIt will solely depend on the number of drifting cataphracts you encounter I suppose.

Fanaticism is so good when ever you can get ahold of a unit who can cast it.

What was your build for that? I couldn't find a way to afford UDleader on this one. :(

If only they had fire arrows!
I like regen on Lanka but not a fan of blood vengeance because I like to use evocation and it'll kill my mages if there is friendly fire.
No pressure or anything, but if you hit our own troops you will explode! Good luck!

Thought on adding kilasa on the next stream (as they and lanka are practically enemy) ? Yes or no?
Yes.
