What a nice little airplane. IMO it's the perfect happy medium between Boeing's visual representation of flight control status and Airbus's cockpit automation. Hope it's my first jet in a couple years.
I was told that it is good practice to always turn on #2 battery first to exercise (and test) the relay that would supply power to the DC busses in the case of the failure of #1 battery.
Yeah, he's not a pilot, that's obvious. He's Maintenance. No pilot would "not know how to tell from up here". Also, it's clear he doesn't start the aircraft regularly, but merely puts power on for towing or troubleshooting.
Hard for me to believe that the 175 is more advanced than the Airbus. Are you referring to just the fact that the APU is so automated or that the entire plane is more advanced than the Airbus? I mean the Airbus literally puts the crosswind correction in (lowering the upwind wing slightly and automatically puts the proper crab angle in) without the pilot needing to move the side stick at all.
I worked on these and the larger E195's at Flybe. Fantastic aircraft that don't get enough recognition.

It’s good except for the noise

4:10 - Capt. You're in an Embraer 175, according to that placard. LOL!
Very informative video.

Thank you Captain. Much appreciated!
FIRE DETECTION TEST BUTTON - PRESS FOR 2S, follow the checklist
Missing the fire protection test before start the APU. Safety first....
Not required unless it's the first sector of the day
Mo if it’s cold and dark, as it was in the video, it most likely is.
He’s most likely a maintenance/tech ops guy getting the plane ready for the aircrew
@@TomCook1993 it doesn’t matter who is doing it for whatever reason. There is a reason why it is required to test the fire warning before apu start.
240P video in late 2017?
advanced aircraft , 1960's video.
COOL VIDEO THIS HELPS ME OUT WITH XPLANE ALOT
No it doesn't. You're just fantasizing.

I sighed heavily. Well done!
Really liked the video, it's a shame the quality is so low.
Wow, it was quite a cold when the packs started!
WHy do you turn on Battery #2 first?
can you do more of this ?ˆˆ like the 737 ng and 747?. if possible?
Sad he isn't showing us the "seats" I loved my 3 hour flight on this aircraft
Which variety of potato was this filmed with? Russet...Yukon?
Just kidding :) Thanks for the informative upload. Enjoyed it much.
Camera doesn’t focus on lettering on panels. Kind of fuzzy, hard to read.
Oh, man, almost 13k kg of fuel! Where that plane was going?
I think thats in pounds...
Was this a sim or a real plane, what about the fire test before apu start??
Somebody didn't follow their checklist ;)
Great video too bad it was so blurry.
Too bad the camera was from 2003. hehe
Très très mauvaise traduction
No fire warning test. Fail.
