IMO Fuaim is the first album where Clannad really found their "voice". It's great to see so much of that album played live here. And yes, it's neat seeing a very young Enya (playing a Mellotron at one point!), although the poor thing looks spooked every time the camera is pointed at her!
Yes, she appears to be very timid and out of her comfort zone...She's a very private person, so at this early portion of her career she was paying her dues until she was able to strike out on her own...
Certainly so, however, because it is that, with Clannad's career over, forgetting the compilations, the cd they continue to sell is the one Enya has. On the deluxe compilation "In a lifetime" there she is again... Rgds🕊️

CLANNAD is anysome, but dearest Eithne Pádraigín Ní Bhraonáin aka ENYA is the one who became an INTERNATIONAL SUPER-STAR, eh? For decades, she became more beautiful and glamourous and talented, each year. At age 59, she is still going strong and is one of the loveliest and classiest ladies in the history of the world!!! 💖💚🍀
Wow this is amazing footage - I love it!! Im always amazed how Moyas voice is still as good now as it was then . Im not an Enya fan at all but i love Moyà. I've met them too and they are lovely people. I've got a couple of great photos of that meeting a couple of years ago. I actually thought Enya had left Clannad by this stage but maybe I'm wrong.
Hey, I like stout. But in California, we do Irish once a year on St. Patrick's Day with the misinformation that Irish beer is green and tastes like piss. I'm usually the only one that can be seen with a glass of black.
3:57 This song must have influenced James Horner's Titanic movie theme! Enya's Book of Days was also an inspiration for the Titanic Score. James Cameron initially wanted Enya to do the score but she declined so the director got James Horner to do it.
I've known for a while now where the Titanic theme song was stolen from. You guys should sue whoever wrote that. They're a bunch of thieves! Long live Clannad!
They wanted enya to write and produce the music for titanic, she declined, so they searched for something similar but honestly it sounded like a knock off version
That group of people has multi-hundred million dollars by now. Enya (the shy girl) sold over 80M records, Moya (the soloist) sold over 20M. Clannad, the rest of the group sold over 15M. That is 115M total album sales. No one in there that stage is ordinary, just down to earth and they were just starting to gain attention.

That's the authentic Clannad sound and voices. Luckily, Moya continued the line, while Enya decided to go her own way. Cierto! Ahí está Enya! Qué jovencita se ve, y Moya, hermosa!

One of the greatest bands ever, beyond that it's like a bit of heaven on Earth.
My heart takes flight. My soul is at peace.
From their oldest to their newest, I’ve been a fan!
When the sisters harmonize it’s simply angelic! I hope Heaven sounds like this.
Enya really needed to go solo. She really blossomed later on, you can't hardly see here what she would become.
I understand.
This is what I like. Real Irish folk music sung in Gaelic. No Guinness-drinking, leprechaun stereotypes.
Exactly. I'm quite sick of the American/Modernized take on Irish culture.
You are right, what a pleasure to listen the Celtic Root tunes

I fell in love with this band since 40 years, i see them in 1988 at Montréal, amazing concert
My favorite music group.
It's very interesting to see Enya here, love Clannad too.
What a treasure. Simplicity and musical purity.
Those Donegal harmonies! otherworldly or like something from Atlantis.
Thank you Steve M for uploading this. What a wonderful gift this is. ps: greetings from San Antonio, Texas, USA

Maire/Moya is such a stunning woman ❤💖
Lovely…Music of my ancestors…Thank you
Who dares to dislike this!? I just wonder...
Probably 11 RAPPER CRAPERS.
Enya was a very young lady in those years!!! Love it!!!
I believe that's Moya Brennan singing with the harp , not Enya her sister.

And still playing the Celtic harph and singing today as she sang 50 years ago
That smile during the first song! Whew!
Absolutely!

Loved watching this, thank you for posting it! Wish I were around during this era of Clannad - it must have been such an exciting time for them all.
Als ik Enya hoor in dit nummer, dan vergeet ik even alles om mij heen❤❤😊😊

Yes, well a lot or people are when they first clap ears on Clannad. I certainly was! Those two guitarists are not too shabby either.
What a gem -- thank you very much for uploading this ❤️
