Yes. I am waiting for the release. It looks amazing and a ton of work. Great job to all of you that work on it. You changed the modding scene for Skyrim when Nolvus dropped.
Nolvus has a lot of high resolution textures. i mean if you look at the size of some mods you'll know it. I think for performance, textures should be just 1k for 1080p players like me. Pls use Bijin. I need them XD
Artificial voice notwithstanding (the "mode-ers" made me do a double-take), this is a really good list and very helpful for someone getting their bearing between the major mod packs. Though "what sets this mod pack apart is its focus on immersion and roleplay" is kind of the description of every major mod pack.
But to get that, you would need alot of way heavier mods, that are much more taxing even on top of the line systems, there is a reason why Lorerim and co are twice the size or even more than GtS. GtS runs very well on actual decent mid tier Rigs, while also looking quite good already and has less baggage thats mostly only for visuals and costs a pretty penny performance wise and concentrates on immersion, performance and gameplay. Also you can add an ENB to GtS to get it to look even better, if you have some performance to spare and youre not exactly forced to use the smaller textures. If there are bigger ones, like the one armor thats installed with just 1k, i did upgrade it to 2K for example, so you can exchange them, but have to live with the list complaining and it costing performance, which also goes for adding a skeleton and non vanilla-esk bodies and so on, which you can do aswell, but this can break it if done badly as it affects many more things.
@@wolfwilkopter2231 the only one thats taxing is LOrerim. The rest of the 2 have graphic options for your gaming rig. The reason why I dont like GTS is because its simply a vortex collection. Vortex collections usually dont have a lot of potential and you cant use mods from other mods (correct me if im wrong). Collections also use the vortex mod manager, which is dogshit because it uses the game folder which can basically mess up your game in many ways. (Let's say that I dont want to play with mods I just want to play vanilla.) The rest use wabbajack which uses Mod Organizer 2. a way better mod manager because it uses a virtual folder which allows you to play vanilla whenever you want. How does it work? well, since MO2 uses a virtual folder (what I just said) it only adds the mods to the base game folder whenever you boot up the game from MO2. This allows for safeness 99% of the time. GTS itself is good, but it shouldve been a wabbajack.
@@LandonGasao I have no Problem with Vortex "messing" with my gamefolder. It works well enuff and GtS uses its own profile and i have a clean backup. Also you can add mods later or change others, but you have to be careful, as some mods are tailored to each other and patched accordingly, so there you could break it, others can be reinstalled with changed options and they even have ppl working on a mirror version that integrates LOTD, also you can add an ENB no problem and so on. I have atleast 30 extra mods installed, with a little fiddeling with the LO everything is working smoothly. Next on the list would be adding 3BA and all that jazz, which is a little tricky but also doable. I know about MO2 and how it works, but i never really had the nerve to fiddle with it, Vortex is way easier to use imho. Also they work on their new Nexus Mod Manager "App" and maybe that will get even closer to MO2 in some ways. 😀
Today's standards. I wouldn't go around saying that too much. Anyway my older favorite was serenity 2. A shame it was given up on. Now i'm on Wildlander. It's nice enough for the moment.
@@GhostLinx LoreRim it uses wabbajack easier to manage with MO2 even with the Performance profile LoreRim needs a nasa pc to run GTS For performance friendly and still looks good and everything is well made
Don't bother with them. Wait for the full release of Invicta. What I wish from modlists is a lite version that doesnt take up much space. 500GB is kinda crazy. Like 1k-2k textures at most
GtS uses less than 60gigs ins packed files and this translates to just over 130gig in full installation, also because most of it is just 2k, as this is made for ease of use, immersion and performance.
@@wolfwilkopter2231 invicta actually just has way more content. Its alr out but in its alpha stages so it still has bugs. Invicta is also medieval and survival based so it strays away from what skyrim is but thats what modding is for.

are there any modpacks that arent massive and not crazy on the pc requirements i really dont need 100gb of mods plus my pc cant handle that much. if theres something around 500 o so mods i would love the sugestions
Nolvus changes the base game too much for me. I do like the aesthetic and look, but you're really not playing Skyrim anymore. Lorerim gets closer, but they really cranked the difficulty. I kind of like Burnt Skyrim, it adds a lot of the visuals without touching gameplay too much and it runs on a Legion Go.
I had the same reaction. Nolvus was the first modlist I downloaded after much research, but there were WAY too many conflicting things going on. I ended up settling with Eldergleam and have been adding mods on top of it for a more vanilla experience.
Looking for advice: I play using Skyrim Unbound, non-dragonborn with no shouts, usually coming up with my own scenario to roleplay. I want great visuals on my 1660ti with 6gb dedicated vram. Which of the mentioned mod lists would be best suited for my needs? Thanks all!
I played eldergleam recently and I overall liked it but there was 1 extremely cringe thing: the faces. all faces look like cheap cartoon crap in this mod and makes this game just not feel serious and realistic
im playing lorerim since a month myself and i absolutely love it. the only thing i miss is some more follower mods, and, well yes, i love to make my female characters look cute. and i dont mean 18+ stuff but just... well we all like a nice chick dont we XD
Followers should be easy to install on an existing mod list, though. Even mid-game. You just need to make sure, not exceeding the 254 plugin limit (ESMs+ESPs). But many follower mods come in ESL nowadays anyway and won't take up a slot.
This Video was helpful in directing me to the Modlist most interesting to me prsonally What I dont like is AI voices that just read out the exact text of the Modlists description, or at least make it clear that you do that. I thank you for showing me the direction, but you can do better
These are Mod Lists. Not Mod Packs. Get it right. You also left out Lexy's LotD. Probably because it's a manual install and not a one click auto install. Nolvus and Lorerim (which also has a normal and performance profile for lesser computers) also require High End Computers to run at their maximum. You fail to mention this also.
@@esanchez10241220 Skyrim and PS5 = Modheck, you are worst off, of all the platforms, coz you have less space for mods and the lowest amount of allowed mods available, as Sony doesnt allow anything with 3rd party assets, not to mention scripts (which are also not available on XBox) So no SKSE (Skyrim Script Extender) and as those lists either use Wabbajack or Vortex for the installation..well that is also a problem on console. Some of the mods of the collections here may be available, if they are ported, but most wont be. If you want to play any of these modlists, you'll need atleast a good actual midrange PC for the smaller and not to heavy modlists and a fairly highend one for the bigger and more graphically boosted ones. GOOD Midrange PC: about 1000-1500bucks, 8cores 16threads CPU, as this game, especially hard modded, is very CPU heavy as well, which gets often overlooked or just 2nd guessed. Best would be a CPU with 3DV-Cache as they seem to outperform (even faster) CPU's with the standard 32Megabyte L3 Cache or less of the normal CPU's. (my 1GHz slower and 1Generation older 5800X3D(Zen3 Architecture) with DDR4 RAM drops below 60FPS at about 16k drawcalls aka the CPU telling the GPU what and when to render, while a 7700X(Zen4 Architecture) which is newer and runs on newer and faster DDR5 RAM already drops at about 12K-13K drawcalls). You also really want the modern standard of 32Gigs of fast RAM (2x16GB Dual Channel Kit, with atleast DDR5 6000CL30 if you go for AM5 or DDR4 3600CL16 if you go for AM4, this gets you optimal speeds for any of the 3DV-Cache CPU's and helps with preventing stutter due to RAM overload and offloading to pagefile on your drive and provides a buffer to the VRAM if that one overflows, which is much faster than any drive, also often smoothes frametimes). And ofc a good GPU with *atleast* 12Gigs of VRAM, DO NOT GO WITH LESS THAN THAT (GtS aka Gate to Sovngarde on QHD aka 2560x1440p resolution takes up to 11.5Gigs of VRAM and thats still one of the more performance and VRAM friendly lists) For the OS/Gamedrive if you only want one drive, atleast a 2TB M.2 NVMe like the NM790 or so. And then some with Monitor, Mouse, Keyboard and Sound and ofc a quality power supply with a little overhead to what your components need and 80plus gold efficiency rating, which is pretty much standard nowadays. Just for example the BQ! Pure Power 12M Series is perfectly suited for such a System and if you dont overdo it, the about 100bucks PP12M 750W 80+ Gold should be plenty and give you some reserve for further upgrades and to fend of power peaks while being in the optimal efficiency range whem gaming. (I'm on a Straight Power 11 850Watts 80+ Platinum, but my system was also a bit more pricey in general as its intended for QHD Gamelay only and not for Full HD aka 1920x1080p with just the option to go QHD.^^ ) Consoles wont be able to power those lists unless you want them to constantly crash and provide just as much as a slideshow. I know this was alot to read and digest, but i hope that helps you in some way. o7
The best modlist is one I painstakingly research and put together through trial and error and prioritization. No one else can give me everything I want out of the game.
Mine. Fully customized and handpicked by myself, no base package. Skyrim looked terrible when it released. It was a big disappointment in that regard, especially on console.
@@Hjartulv I remember it vividly. It was quite ugly. It got me into modding, because I so badly wanted to make it look better. The textures on console were an abomination. Special Edition made things look a decent amount better, but still not good enough. Oblivion was built from the ground up for PC and Skyrim ended up being a console port on PC, like just about every game from the 360/PS3 era. Console ports on PC were the absolute worst back then. Anyway, mods now make Skyrim look insanely good.
Gosh I hate AI voice narration, it's soulless and obviously fake. None of these overhauls "enhance Skyrim", they butcher it. Replacing the tundra around Whiterun with lush forests completely ruins the original intent and feeling. Replacing the award-winning soundtrack with "improved" music is akin to drawing over Van Gogh's 'Sunflowers' with crayons and claiming it "enhanced". The best Wabbajack modlist that I can recommend is 'Apostasy'. Even though it changes the music, at least it actually enhances the visual identity of Skyrim, instead of replacing it with some childish modders idea of enhancement.
Do you know how much effort people put into creating a content or a mod? Not everyone's native language may be English. We are trying to produce a universal content with the means at hand. However, ridiculous people like you come and try to ruin all our enthusiasm. It's a pity. If the voice and narration sound soulless, try to ignore it. I respect your mod suggestion. I prefer to ignore the rest of your ideas because of your tone.

How does it work? well, since MO2 uses a virtual folder (what I just said) it only adds the mods to the base game folder whenever you boot up the game from MO2. This allows for safeness 99% of the time. GTS itself is good, but it shouldve been a wabbajack.

I have no Problem with Vortex "messing" with my gamefolder.
I wish the Wildlander update would come out.
PLaying Tempus Maledictum these days and love it a lot
GTS And LoreRim for sure
witch one would you pick between the 2?
@@GhostLinx LoreRim it uses wabbajack easier to manage with MO2 even with the Performance profile LoreRim needs a nasa pc to run
GTS For performance friendly and still looks good and everything is well made
@@CNKERTHEFATHER I have a 3070 so I think I'll go with GTS, and simple install is not a determining factor for me. I do want at least 60fps though
@@GhostLinx Yeah pick the GTS but good luck with dogshit called Vortex
@@GhostLinx If you want a simpler instal go with Lorerim GTS uses Vortex and it will make you go wild i was nearly about to throw my pc to oven
I wish there was a Viva Newvegas-like Modlist for Skyrim, these overly modded Modlists look all over the place aesthetically and make my eyes hurt.
Check out Tempus Maledictum! It's a new quests based mod list focused on mods like Vigilant, Legacy of the Dragonborn, Timelost Dwemer, Project AHO, Bruma, and so many amazing mods. It's always my number one recommendation.
Appreciate this, but without chapters, I found it confusing, particularly to go back and rewatch the one I want to see.
Ah yes. Because the Giant Text across the screen when he starts talking about a modlist doesn't help when searching. Shame, really
I added the timecodes to the description.
are there any modpacks that arent massive and not crazy on the pc requirements i really dont need 100gb of mods plus my pc cant handle that much. if theres something around 500 o so mods i would love the sugestions
6:12 do any of you know what mod this hair is from? Ty.
Is this AI narrated? lol
Nolvus changes the base game too much for me. I do like the aesthetic and look, but you're really not playing Skyrim anymore. Lorerim gets closer, but they really cranked the difficulty. I kind of like Burnt Skyrim, it adds a lot of the visuals without touching gameplay too much and it runs on a Legion Go.
what is Burnt Skyrim
I had the same reaction. Nolvus was the first modlist I downloaded after much research, but there were WAY too many conflicting things going on. I ended up settling with Eldergleam and have been adding mods on top of it for a more vanilla experience.
if it runs on a legion go, it doesn't crank graphics enough
Looking for advice: I play using Skyrim Unbound, non-dragonborn with no shouts, usually coming up with my own scenario to roleplay. I want great visuals on my 1660ti with 6gb dedicated vram. Which of the mentioned mod lists would be best suited for my needs? Thanks all!
why do non of the visual mod care that skyrim is a tundra that the color are completely off
Is there a way to like, have separate installations of skyrim for each of these mod packs?
Yeah, in vortex (the mod manager) you can set up different profiles in a game, which themselves can have different mods/modpacks.
Some mod lists create their own unique stock game folder for you, upon install. Lorerim for sure does this.
GTS looks like Xbox, ElderGleam is closer to unmodded, Nolvus v5 is ancient.
Lorerim 2 is far ahead of anything else until Nolvus v6.
You didn't compare them..
I did.
Lorerim is my favorite go to mod list
Why do these modlists have to add seasons. Areas that don’t have snow are a nice break from the rest of the map.
Because immersion and seasons are a thing, even on Tamriel. ;)
I don’t usually like heavily modded Skyrim but eldergleam actually looks really good
I just don’t get the appeal of all these combat over hauls like yeah they look cool but enemies just seem too tanky this is Skyrim not Elden ring
I played eldergleam recently and I overall liked it but there was 1 extremely cringe thing: the faces.
all faces look like cheap cartoon crap in this mod and makes this game just not feel serious and realistic
im using novulus, is there something better?
You can try Eldergleam, Lorerim and GTS. They have better and worse sides than Nolvus.
Whenever I heard wabajavathehutt mod program I shut off immediately. Used nolvus and its insane even on 2k version.
Eldergleam not on wabbajack
The best modlist for Skyrim is your own modlist
But managing hundreds of mods sounds like a pain tho
True but it's a massive pain in the rear to set up your own modlist. I just don't have the time or patience anymore.
Not true. My modlist sucks
Managing mod (browsing, installing and trying them mod) is so much fun though
@@Afazha fun if that's what you only want to do, just mod and never actually play for real
im playing lorerim since a month myself and i absolutely love it. the only thing i miss is some more follower mods, and, well yes, i love to make my female characters look cute. and i dont mean 18+ stuff but just... well we all like a nice chick dont we XD
Followers should be easy to install on an existing mod list, though. Even mid-game. You just need to make sure, not exceeding the 254 plugin limit (ESMs+ESPs). But many follower mods come in ESL nowadays anyway and won't take up a slot.
This Video was helpful in directing me to the Modlist most interesting to me prsonally
What I dont like is AI voices that just read out the exact text of the Modlists description, or at least make it clear that you do that.
I thank you for showing me the direction, but you can do better
what about low end pc ?
LoreRim
Dude the video is very nice and well edited but why use AI voice ? It kinda fells like there is no life idk
Thanks man! But english is not my native language, so i use AI voice :)
Could you do a console mod list
Of course. I can prepare a topic about this in my future videos.
You forgot to mention you are gay.
Ondricka Turnpike
I would use both eldergleam and novlus myself once I get a external gpu for my hpelitedesk 705 4g
lorerim. its lorerim.
I play NGVO
Are these mods compatible with ps5 ?
unfortunately no :(
The AI voice over is noticeable and makes me want to click off.
Good effort on the video though.
Please check Halls of Sovngarde!!
Are these mods available for ps5??? Please tell me they are!!!
Unfortunately no :(
@@TheGaming_Man noooooooooo
@@esanchez10241220
Skyrim and PS5 = Modheck, you are worst off, of all the platforms, coz you have less space for mods and the lowest amount of allowed mods available, as Sony doesnt allow anything with 3rd party assets, not to mention scripts (which are also not available on XBox) So no SKSE (Skyrim Script Extender) and as those lists either use Wabbajack or Vortex for the installation..well that is also a problem on console.
(my 1GHz slower and 1Generation older 5800X3D(Zen3 Architecture) with DDR4 RAM drops below 60FPS at about 16k drawcalls aka the CPU telling the GPU what and when to render,
while a 7700X(Zen4 Architecture) which is newer and runs on newer and faster DDR5 RAM already drops at about 12K-13K drawcalls).
And ofc a good GPU with *atleast* 12Gigs of VRAM, DO NOT GO WITH LESS THAN THAT (GtS aka Gate to Sovngarde on QHD aka 2560x1440p resolution takes up to 11.5Gigs of VRAM and thats still one of the more performance and VRAM friendly lists)
For the OS/Gamedrive if you only want one drive, atleast a 2TB M.2 NVMe like the NM790 or so.
(I'm on a Straight Power 11 850Watts 80+ Platinum, but my system was also a bit more pricey in general as its intended for QHD Gamelay only and not for Full HD aka 1920x1080p with just the option to go QHD.^^ )
Consoles wont be able to power those lists unless you want them to constantly crash and provide just as much as a slideshow.
I know this was alot to read and digest, but i hope that helps you in some way.
o7
My own.
Are these for console???????
Unfortunately. It's all for the PC :(
@TheGaming_Man pc has all the great mods man, thanks for letting me know
If you want an anime game with awful anime combat then Nolvus is for you. Gate to Sov is the best I have tried so far.
The AI voice is a non starter
There’s nothing I can do about it. English isn’t my native language, so I need to use a voiceover.
N.Y.A is suprisingly epic ! otherwise i am a Requiem kinda guy so Lorerim
The best modlist is one I painstakingly research and put together through trial and error and prioritization. No one else can give me everything I want out of the game.
lol where is Ultima hahahha
Apostasy.
Mine. Fully customized and handpicked by myself, no base package. Skyrim looked terrible when it released. It was a big disappointment in that regard, especially on console.
What, it was looking great for 2011.
@@Hjartulv it really wasnt unless you were limited to the ps3
@@DaXurk It really was.You can just ust google to find some reactions at that time.
Definitely nothin from Nexus Collections
The best modlist would be to go outside and touch a grass 😂😂😂
They all turn Skyrim into a graphical mess with UI cluter and character straight out from those cheap UE5 porn game on steam. This is so tasteless... If you want to see how to properly make Creation Engine shine, just play Enderal.
