I used to bag a VIP Hatchet for the understable 9 speed slot, they are pretty glidey compared to similar discs. I imagine the new orbit runs are a bit more stable. The only reason they fell out of favor for me is I gained quite a bit of distance and I have a beat up infinite glow dynasty that fits that slot better now
Great video quality as always! Also love the hex. I find the Axiom Insanity to be quiet understable, even for me. That could be a good option for a backup understable 9 speed. Other than that, I love the RPM Pekapeka. They're a NZ brand not sure how available they are overseas. Gotta get it in premium plastic though as the base plastics ones are too understable
@@KyleEberdtDiscGolf awesome haha. I live in New Zealand so they're everywhere over here. I don't have a lot of RPM but the Pekapeka was my favourite for a long time. A base plastic one was my roller disc and now I've lost it 😭
As a back up or replacement for the sidewinder, I really recommend the roadrunner in halo plastic. That disc is a ton of fun! Thanks for showing your bag. Kind regards from Norway.
Great video. I have been playing for about 2 months now had a guy give me 2 pures to putt with about 3 weeks ago and it has changed the putting game for me. Also awesome to see you at beaverfork made the trek up to persimmon for the first time today then had lunch and played beaver fork for the first time. Clicked on this video and saw it on the screen lol it’s a great course
In addition to the other options suggested in the comments, maybe consider a Sphinx (I, G or S blend plastics), which is Roadrunner bottom, Valkyrie top. You might also consider a GStar Sidewinder, which will have probably the closest hand-feel to your current Sidewinder.
If you can, I highly suggest you tey the Prodiscus Origo. It's a lot like the Luna or the Pure feelwise and it comes in a few different plastics. A touch shallower than the Pure, very slight difference, but sometimes it affects the putt/throw a lot. I can actually forehand flick the Origo for short anhyzer upshots whereas with the Pure I struggle with it immensely.
@@KyleEberdtDiscGolf it definately is. Basic plastic by Prodiscus is extremely similar to a Trilogy medium plastic. Premium, Ultrium or Colour Glow is a bit more overstable choice. It's for sure a mold that deserves more hype but Prodiscus isn't the best at hyping their products 🤦🏻. If you do end up testing other molds from Prodiscus as well, the couple that I bag are Ultrium Razeri (basically a Destroyer but flatter so fits a forehand grip like a dream, also I prefer the feel of them over Destroyers) and a Premium Troija which is basically the Tilt of midranges, just insanely overstable, beats the Justice/Mutant 100-0 in terms of overstability. But a fun disc to throw, and once again, board flat and perfect for a sidearm grip. Still STUPID overstable, you have been warned.
Look at the Thought Space Mantra for under stable 9 speed. Nebula Aura plastic is the most flippy and the ethereal is a step up in stability. Nebula aura has a great gummy grip but plenty stiff. Ethereal is less stiff just as gummy. Very underrated disc still
A disc you should definately try, and not a lot of people do for some reason, is the Latitude 64 Striker. I prefer the Gold line ones over the Opto ones, but that may be just me. The Opto-Ice ones are nice as well. For me the Gold ones have a little more flip up but also fade more consistantly. 100% worth trying. Also not a lot of content about that disc is on TH-cam. I'd be stoked to see it reviewed.
@@KyleEberdtDiscGolf for me it solved the issue of finding a straight-to-stable fairway driver. David Feldberg describes it as a longer Teebird and throws it when the Teebird wouldn't go far enough straight and a Destroyer would go too far. And I have tested it side by side with a Teebird, the flights are similar but the Striker goes farther even with my arm. I've described it to be a disc that a "normal person" can throw similarly to Simon Lizotte throwing a Pd. I guess like a slower Anax? In your bag probably a longer Strike? So pretty stable but definately not a meathook. I love the feel of it. It feels faster and "bulkier" than most 8-speeds and for me that gives confidence to put power behind my shots. I can also manipulate it in multiple angles with power. Well, that explanation is all over the place. Anyways, I love that disc. For me that and the XXX are Trilogys most underrated molds for sure.
First time viewer. With your power, have you considered a DD Verdict? It’s my favorite mold. It would fit between the Pyro and Lizottle. Maybe your various Zone options cover the slot I’m thinking of. Thanks for the video.
Yeah there definitely a gap between those disc, glad you noticed. I tried the prodigy archive in that slot for a little while, maybe the verdict would work better!
Seeing your graph in My Disc Bag would be cool too. Nice video dude!
Didn't even think about that! Thanks for watching my man! 🫡

I like the crystal ledge stone heat in that spot for sidewinder.
I also throw the strike it’s incredible!!

Fission Insanity (very different from Plasma Insanity - more overstable) and Axiom Servo might be worth looking into ...

You need to replace the sidewinder with a Saint
You think so?
They beat in like a beat in sidewinder but never seem to change after that.
Dynamic discs Vandal is a great understable 9 speed. Flips up beautifully. 🤝🏼😌🥏 Especially those Trilogy challenge ones from this year's TC. 🙌🏼

Axiom virus for that 9 speed flippy spot

@@KyleEberdtDiscGolf neutron plastic pretty new mold but it’s super nice and useable under stable
