    Thank you so much for this video;
    Do you have a video where you could help People, to get rid of the "yuck" feeling?
    I have at the moment a problem with trash bags.. like.. when putting them outside, I open Doors beforehand, so that the bags wont touch the Doors or doorhandles.. and when coming back inside, I close everthing by foot, because I dont want to make the handles of the door filthy.. with the yuckieness feeling of trashbags you know?
    If it did occur.. I had to wipe it all off.. but with anxiety that is really high, and like 10 wipes for 1 doorhandle
    How can I get rid of it?
    Also... when the trashbags touches my clothing, I feel yuckie, and I have the fear of spreading it.. often times in the past I had to wear new clothes, but go in a shower first too! Because when taking of the clothes, the yuckieness is on you, that is how I feel
    It is horrible, and one of the most difficult for me to get over..
    How do I get over?
    As a Child or teenager.. I was never scared of yuckieness from trashbags...
    But.... it is a Subject that goes pretty wide, like.. if I get through 1 obstable of yuckieness, the brain will often times search for something else which will give me the yuckie feeling, it switches Subjects or keeps adding things.. so you can imagine how my day looks like
    And often times it all comes out of the blue like.. you never really had a problem with it in the past 😅😅
    So I would like to train my brain, to get over the yuckieness feeling 😄
    The therapists I went too, they all said the same! "Do not give it attention, it will go away in an amount of time, and don't Do any compulsions" but.. I feel uneasy all day.. als also because of the "fear of spreading, making everything dirty.. is soo hard to accept this..
    Is this the way to go?

      I think you have to accept the feeling of yuckiness and the anxiety it creates. You have to sit (even though you feel contaminated and feel you have contaminated the things around you) and let the anxiety wash over you. It’s so hard- I’m currently going through this but I can see it so clearly now, the prison I have been trapped in. How are you doing now? I hope things have improved for you? Xx❤️

    Thank you so much Rob, you are amazing! This is such an insightful description of what it can be like to have contamination OCD. I suffer from severe contamination OCD which involves a fear of spreading germs, poisons, etc, to my loved ones, directly or through surfaces, and putting them at risk of getting sick or to die as a result. How do I dispute my irrational beliefs, live with uncertainty, and accept myself unconditionally, in relation to this? What else is involved in recovery from this?
