HIYA All of my builds , from a 1600 grocery getter to a "fairly " built 1835 always includes a windage tray . Keeps the oil in the bottom of the case and oil being whipped up by the crank , rods and pistons 👍😁

Use heat shrink tubing on the magnet you bought

Good idea! I wonder how the segments of the tractor supply magnet are attached to each other. If they are mechanically fastened, then there’s no problem. If they’re bonded together with something like epoxy, the heat could make the joint fail. After all, they will be submerged in a deep fryer.
It looks like the Gene Berg magnet is one solid part and shouldn’t have this concern.
    I enjoyed the video!👍

Coincidentally I just put some of that flat black Rustoleum on my home made exhaust. Does the trick.

Could you use a magnet from a microwave, they are very strong and round 1/2 inch thick. You'd slide it on the tube and fix it on with a hose clamp underneath.

Honestly, I didn't know microwave's had magnetics in them. As long as they won't fall apart and stay put I'd say that they would work just as good.

I’m confused, do the cows actually swallow the magnet? Tell Emily she needs to pump up those tires.

Hubert won't fit under the shelves if she pumps up his tires lol.

Yeah since you have heat and aluminum and magnesium and steel and since you're talking cows, LOL steel and aluminum and magnesium will easily start to harmonize/stick together, debris on magnetic will include all metal during normal wear. If you're finding chunks, yeah you're pulling engine out 😳

what is the purpose of this??

The purpose of the gene berg magnet is to catch any metal that may show up in the engine oil.
