Hello 7ennifer. If you get yourself of copy of Ganassi's Opera intitulata Fontegara imslp.org/wiki/Opera_intitulata_Fontegara_(Ganassi,_Sylvestro) You will find that from the 16th century onward, recorder players have had more syllabic options for double tonguing than modern flutists do today. That said, the point of double tonguing has always been to use the forward and return motions of the tongue to optimum efficiency. Choose your syllables and have fun!
Great performance! So cool.
I would like to know what kind of double-tonguing the recorder player is using to get those 16th notes so smooth!
