Josh mentioned in a Q&A last night that Absent is about feeling depressed, being wrapped up in your own problems, not considering that the people close to you also might be struggling with things and basically ignoring all that because of what you're going through and feeling guilty for not acknowledging other people's suffering. It's a beautiful song. If you haven't already, you should also listen to Abandon. Very similar style
This is my introduction to this band and wow I was pleasantly surprised by how good this is, so simple yet very effective metal. Descent and Absent are the highlight tracks from the record for me.
Hey. New viewer here and enjoying the long version of your album listening. If I can add a suggestion it would be Somali Yacht Club. I think you'll quite enjoy what you hear. They're fucking awesome. Thanks again for video
I really love this album because they finally broke a problem they've always have had with all their songs and albums sounding like one big album, they always used Harmonic minor keys and ended all their songs in a similar Epic way, with this they try alot of different things and this also has the most clean vocals from Josh which sound great
Very solid album imo, definitely not edge of the earth or monolith great but a very good modern metal record, quick and to the point and loaded with killer riffs. I do hope they head back into the more progressive direction with their next record but I still enjoyed this a lot and think it’s a worthy addition to their great discog. Pariah rips so hard that track is awesome, certified banger.

Descent’s chorus is 10/10 for me!
Thorns is so good
Yo Pariahs is such a banger, the buildup to the groovy breakdown got me so hyped
Certified banger of a track, that shit goes so hard.
SO NOW YOU WANT IN? AND NOW YOU NEED ANSWERS???!?!?!?"?£!"?£"!?£!"?£
Thorns is so underrated
Godless Throne is so damn good. GUILT!!!
They are all good. This GUILT though...
The cover is a ouroboros (snake eating itself)
Clean vocals kinda remind me of Disturbed, OG Three Days Grace, and Tremonti all mixed into one.

I like this band as much as I do but I don't understand why they hardly get invited as main artists
Sorry for my english! Most of time she playing as opening act! Maybe the reasen is Architects and Bleed from Within
Josh is not religious but he writes questioning religion
I feel the same thing about the lyrics man. Nowdays it is very hard to me to listen to most of the Metalcore bands because of it.
