Damn the views on this game have been disappointing. Actually considering doing for this game what I said I'd do for Baba - a 12 hour raw unedited upload of the entire rest of the game. I'll wait it out a couple more episodes, but I think I'm pulling the trigger on that soon.
it's definitely a more esoteric game with an appeal that large depends on your own blind revelations so the audience value/engagements aren't as great. I've been watching every single one. If you'd like, I can send you a printed steel panel with one of the puzzles printed on it.

About the "walking in front of the beam" thing: there's a crack on top of the mountain specifically placed to prevent you from walking into the Tetrisland laser.
Witness I swear would be Tyler's dreams. First bridges now walking around the mazes to complete them. Now where's the baba section. And where is the balloons district too.

That gravel hedge maze really annoyed me because I hadn’t been playing with audio, and the game doesn’t really give you any clues (as far as I can tell) that you should turn on audio.
AgentIce77 yeah exactly. Usually it’s less of an issue because rules had always been implied through visuals, so an audio clue was totally not an expectation I had
There are sound puzzles elsewhere in the game, but yeah without audio you'd have no way of knowing it here. I suspect it's why you can technically complete the game without all the lasers (colourblind and deaf people can't get them all) and why the castle portion only needs you to do half of the puzzles (deaf people can't do the hedgemaze).
So what if the series is getting half as many views? Not every game is going to be a hit. Those of us who love it, love it a lot. Please keep it up, even if that means you won't edit them as much!
The hedge maze took him longer than I expected... He took WAY less time than me to figure out that you could cross over the wooden platforms between pressure plates to continue the design from the other direction though.
I haven't finished the video so idk if you figure this out, but some environmental puzzles have multiple solutions. (I played the game for about 15 minutes and found one with multiple solutions, it might be a one time thing but better safe then sorry)
This episode never showed up on my feed, and i checked the channel and didn't find it in the witness playlist, i think that and nothing referencing that the game is specifically the witness really affected the views on it

damn, this seems boring now I've watched the speed runs of this game they be completing it in 15 minutes, not to 100% but doing all the main puzzles and 100% in 2 hours and 15 mins crazy. but keep them coming man this game is crazy.

The Witness was heavily inspired by Myst and took a lot of design principles from it, as said the developer.

DodgeThatAttack when you haven’t solved the puzzles it makes the start circle incomplete until you solve it, so you couldn’t start the meta puzzle
