well if u play dmc1 in mission 17 with the dino skeleton and u will just reflect it then u will just to think that all of the projectile attacks can be deflected with timing sword attack
Just lock on with spiral and keep shooting and let vergil do the job. Also equip the rocket launcher to deal with the arkham things. And for his projectiles which are the hardest thing about the fight. You have to time your jumps (it took me about 4 hours but i got SS)
I have a tip, since this worked well for me. My loadout was Rebellion with Beowulf and E&I with Kalina Ann. What I did was circle around Arkham and kept punching his back/ass since his tentacles can't reach around. When he submerged and legions came, I waited till the legions grouped up and shot Kalina Ann due to huge AoE. If there was 5 or less left I switched to rebellion and hacked them away. When Arkham comes back up, circle around and repeat. I never really had to worry about projectiles because I recall him never even using it and kept trying to hit me with the tentacles. Looking back, I should've done Real Impact on his ass XD but this got me through it pretty easy. I did, however, have my younger brother help as Vergil, lol. But he didn't what he was doing, so I dunno if it made it easier or not haha.

All these years and just now I've learned that I've been fighting Doppelganger incorrectly... I NEVER knew you could ping pong hima la Ganondorf... and it gives you MAD score ranking... Beowolf's cage can be returned if you throw your sword at it... I think it's faster and gives good score points. I'm not sure if that is the most efficient way to fight Vergil, but that was stylish and fun.
that's happen too when you fighting Mundus in Battle 2,when he's Shoot Energy you can Parry them with Sword attack(but you must activated Devil Trigger) and try it with good timing
Really? Easy for me. The legions are trivialized by just jumping slightly and Aerial Raving while barely above the ground. Spam that and there will be no problem. The actual Arkham is handled similarly to Dante.
take reb and beowulf and spiral and kalina ann and for the style take quicksilver. have kalina ann first at all times and use rebellion to start your attacks against him and then use beowulf's mid air attack and keep cancel jumping it and youll deal a lot of dmg and once vergil gets pushed back (that means he is about to block your attack) shoot him with kalina then switch to spiral shoot then kalina and shoot keep doing this until he spawns those swords once he is in that blue area thing quicksilver and do the same kalina ann/spiral combo and youd destroy all of his swords then turn off quicksilver asap to save DT then when he goes DT dodge his attacks until he stops attacking then quicksilver and attack him to turn him into normal vergil until you get him below half health. that's where the fight gets challenging. he will go devil trigger and keep spamming helmbreaker he will do one set then attack you normally (don't attack him because that wouldn't get him out of DT) then he will initiate another helmbreaker spree when he is done he will go out of DT do as much damage as possible with the technique i spoke about at the beginning (he will do this twice) before he starts doing judgment cut end and that's where you need some luck in order to not be hit. when he goes out of that attack he will go out of DT and you ll have a chance to attack him. he will do it twice or so before you kill him. hope this helps if you read it but this is the easiest technique possible against him and i managed to SS him in a couple of tries
It has high damage for the jc he uses. I like Beowulf stinger jc just a bit more though. I do find agni and rudra is faster to kill certain bosses though.

Killer bee jump cancel with beowolf is easy but that hammer (I don't know the name of the move) with beowolf(swordmaster) jump cancel is so hard to execute...

Playing the HD collection made me feel like as if I was 12 again it was fun revisiting this game finally know what to do a I never proceeded ahead in dmc3 from mission 5 where you have to use the trident 🔱 in the tower thanks you
Tbh dmc3 is the easiest when it comes to jump canceling, I just recently got the hd collection for the ps4 and it’s easier than I remember, at least for me
Remap you controller. Triangle stays melee, r1 shoot, r2 jump, L1 lock on, L2 devil trigger, square change weapon guns, circle change weapon melee, X style button. The rhythm of tapping r2 to jump after melee becomes much easier. I have spent a ton of time coming up with the perfect controller button layout for DMC3, and by far this is the most consistent method I have found. I also use this for dmc4 and dmc5.

As an experienced DMC 3 player myself, you can easily see the pattern of all the bosses movement if you always play the game. I already spend 200+hours for this game, and 300+hours for DMC 4...
He always use force edge combo , trick, Helm breaker and then stinger ... If he dosent use force edge combo he's not gonna use stinger after Helm breaker
It’s fucking hard to deal with this jump cancel, feel like all methods of making crazy-like videos of playing DMC are based on this sort of gameplay mechanics.
It's not the only way, in fact you get less stylish points by spaming the same combo, I usually use it to my advantage if I need to but I prefeer playing the way it was meant to.

Sito there’s footage in the gallery showcasing a trailer for combos that include jump cancel. The director himself was once a fighting game director who directed where street fighter alpha series was headed. So it’s not so crazy to think that jump cancels would become a thing after this guy toke the helm. Besides. It’s because this game being faster than one and allowing gor the enemies to fall slower is what makes jcing possible. And who cares if it was intentional or not have such a mechanic in the game anyway? It looks cool and it’s fun and addictive to come up with cool combos. Like all games that require execution, yes, it’s not easy to do. But that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the game at least on a different level. Maybe not combo heavy wise. But strategically, or other avenues of the game from a more casual perspective and that’s fine too

DMD with Vergil was pretty easy, aswell as reaching 9999 with Dante was easy, but DMD with Dante is fucking hard! Especially Arkham 2nd phase........

No, it was the devil Trigger bomb, it's a hard trick. You have to hit a small hitbox on his eye, the moment he rages... i think. :3
It was Royalguard AND devil trigger bomb, if you can relase both on is eye it does a ton of damage.
Its a Devil Trigger Boom. It's very difficult to do, I'm still getting a hard time to perform it. Need a perfect precise time to do it.
