    I wonder when Victory will make a 200 watt plus bass amp? It came to mind when I saw that blue Victory amp in the background. There are lots of nice solid state amps but too few tube offerings. A starved plate single tube in the preamp does not count as a tube amp.

    So I know this ones an older one.... But it seems the most logical for this comment... I see Ashdown just recently introduced a new Ashdown Mini StudioRig 2x10 Bass Combo Amp, and it looks like its aimed directly at the Ampeg Micro-VR SVT210AV! Well. There doesn't seem to be very many videos out there yet showing off this new Ashdown Mini StudioRig... other then, Ashdown's own video of it! So... Andertons, I think its time you guys put those two Amps in a head to head showdown! Lets see it! Ampeg Micro-VR SVT210AV vs Ashdown Mini StudioRig! For that matter, I also think you guys should take Ampeg's new Rocketbass Amps, and put them up against the Ashdown Studios! You guys already did a video on Rocketbass VS Fender Rumble. Screw Fender, they're old school! I wanna see that iconic Ampeg Tone go up against Ashdown! So there's TWO awesome new showdown videos you guys can do. So lets see you crank those out! Or maybe... crank them UP?!

    • @girmonsproductions
      @girmonsproductions 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      yes I'd love to see more videos about the mini studio rig from Ash, it looks very very nice but I'm not sure why only 250W which could be at 4 ohm or prob less at 8ohms. I woud've considered it more if it woud have a bit more power.

    • @naz7525
      @naz7525 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yea there is really only ONE video out there, and its the one from Ashdown's own website, and they have it bogged down with a drum/background music track which doesn't really do much for showing off the Amp itself. As for the 250w into 4ohms.. their website specifically states its 250w at 4ohms "minimum" .. but it also has a second Speaker Out, on the back... so you can apparently plug a second Cab into it and that makes me wonder what it'll do with that... as the specs on the website aren't specific about it.... the backside of the Ampeg Micro's Head also has two speaker outs, and it states that its 160w into 8ohm, and 200w into 4ohm.

    • @girmonsproductions
      @girmonsproductions 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@naz7525yeah it’s weird I think that it’s not full 250W. All of their amps are rated at lower wattage with the internal speakers. The only one that is 4ohm at 300wats it’s the studio 15”

      @NukePooch1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The 100w 12" models are a toss-up, but when looking at 15" models, the Rumble 200 weighs 10 pounds more and has 100w less for slightly less money. As long as the tone is what you need, this Ashdown is the one to get (in the 15").

    • @quattro4468
      @quattro4468 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NukePooch1 it doesnt have 100w it outputs 100w. A 100w with a 95db effiecient driver(speaker) will be just as loud than a 200w 92db unit. And a 400w amp will be equally loud with a 88/89db driver.

      ...unfortunately,I've had this "scary " experience with my First ORANGE amp.
      Been wanting one of these as they have a great reputation, been around for years,used by some of the music worlds elite,and of course..they're bright Orange in colour!!! Ok? ...No.Not ok. The day I bought it AND used it on that night's gig,after 3 songs it just fell onto its ass, darted and spluttered like someone with an attack of " the runs" sitting on the loo( "loo" is our name ( UK and Aussie people) for the toilet. I couldn't fix it and had to do the rest of the gig through the PA system. Took it back to dealer....not a problem. Played beautifully. Next gig..same story. Fart, splutter,etc. Back to dealer..no problem. It was cursed! Used the same cables,bass,etc at shop and no issue. Next gig.....you guessed it....AAAGGGHHHH!!! Back to dealer,which was very far from my place,so not easy to do every weekend as it would take my whole Saturday to go to the dealer and home. Now, the punchline. As time went on,the warranty expired,it was now 3 years since purchase,and it simply played well at the dealer.( yes..I tried the amp at different locations,same cable,same bass etc...same story!!!). Then, ORANGE dropped their dealership from AUSTRALIA, so then I had no ORANGE Agent hear in Australia, and so nowhere and no one to consult with. Its still sitting in my loungers,waiting to be fixed. Guess who's never buying an ORANGE bass amp again?
