    I was there! Great show! The other journey keyboardist is Jason Derlatdka he sang Suzanne, while Deen Castronovo sang Mother, Father. Keep up the good work! Completely agree with your points on toto and journey being very well together with their styles

    Thank you very much for your intelligent and excellent review about the LIVE Concert of Toto and most especially Journey - I believe your views since you are very knowledgeable about those rock musicians out there., and even seen them in person on LIVE Concerts !! . I do believe that you are doing well NOT to criticize no matter what is around in Concerts ( whether it be wearing a mask or any negative criticisms on anything-- that can ignite anger--- because it is going to lead you nowhere but regardless-- you gave a good feeling for viewers to listen to you in a positive manner-- not fueling any anger to some bashers around.! I'm glad AP is still doing incredibly well in this March 2022 LIVE Concert-- I'm an avid fan of AP--- -ever since SP left the band !!! I will be seeing Journey's LIVE Concert-- SOON !!! Can't wait!

      The only anger he’s fueling is not knowing the band history or any of the members… duds? PS-Arnel didn’t join right after Steve left the band….

      @@PeachWNK you're the best that ever reacted for Arnel Pineda. Bashers & Haters always focus on AP. Why not bash & hate Augery ang Sotto they replaced SP before Neal Schon found ARNEL PINEDA. Arnel has been having a low vocal in his in-ear monitors for years in his mix which has made him strain his voice. It has not been remedied until now and I have heard some recent clips that sounds amazing. Joe Williams from Toto saved his voice and have consequently been elevating it through vocal coaching and consistency since the comeback 2010.

    The TOTO headline dates from February and March were originally postponed, but then officially canceled this past week. The band's website states that they will try to make up those dates in 2023. For now, the only headline date in the U.S. before TOTO heads to Europe this summer is April 16th in Lake Charles, LA.

      Just saw the show in Seattle. It was amazing. I found out 3 days before that Toto was going to open. I thought I was reading it wrong. OMG what a deal to see both of my favorites in 1 show. always wanted to see Steve Lukather live so my dream came true.

    Great review. I’m seeing them in April and very excited. I to was supposed to see Billy Idol who I have seen a few times so I bought tickets to see Toto on their tour which has now been canceled. Deen Castronovo is an excellent singer and as Neal has said, the best singing drummer out there. A huge amount of people are thrilled he’s back and I am one of them. I had the privilege of seeing Journey Through Time in 2019 and Deen did a lot of the singing. I also saw Deen with the Dead Daisies, fantastic drummer. I’ve have been seeing and hearing great things about the show. My 32 year old son and his wife will be joining me. Ha ha he’s my Uber driver and an expensive one at that! Thanks again for the great review.

    Awesome review! Though I really feel bad for Arnel's part which is also a great concern as for Steve Perry back then. The rest in between gigs is just not enough. In fact, Arnel wanted to retire during the pandemic as he was aware of the toll cause by his age but somehow, Neal was able to pursuade him. Pretty amazing for 54 yo though.

    If you're talking about the keyboardist Jonathan Cain, he has always been a more than adequate backing vocalist and actually sang lead on a few songs when he was with the Babys.

    Seen them April 30th in Columbus Oh. I paid a bit more to sit center view behind sound board. Off floor about 6 rows up. Got everything on film and came out great. Glad to see Toto do I'll be over you. Both bands blew it out the park. The ending with Journey and the big bang was nice. I will say this- watching Journey and hearing them in a video sounds nothing like being there. So his voice people argue is not top. Being there for a show I can say it was top. One of the best shows I seen and I seen alot. It is great to still see Journey going. These bands are old. See them while you can. I see Eric Clapton in Sept. Rock on...

    I have to give Steve Perry credit for knowing when to call it quits , if he would have stayed in Journey people would be on here bashing his vocals just like they do Vince Neil, Bon Jovi, Paul Stanley, Don Dokken and many more. When Brad Delp from Boston started having a hard time with his vocals they got another singer to help him out, so did Ozzy, he had Robert Mason singing behind the curtain lol.

    I suspect that clip you played, with the complaint that Perry is not still around, was a planned comedy bit, rather than a spur of the moment alcohol infused loss of control.

      Typical meaning in order to build up Arnel, you drag Steve Perry into it, at 73? I for one, would not be disappointed if Steve came back for the 50th Anniversary and sang a song or two. Disappointed?
      I think Deen should be singing a lot more of the songs, the fact that he isn’t is what is disappointing.

    It’s baffling how a 50 year veteran professional , Neal Schon, who had such great sound in 70’s and 80’s , would let his guitar drown and lack any definition with the sound in the rafters . How about a sound check and try mixing your sound proper so that it even sounds like a rock guitar? Very poor mix , just astoundingly unprofessional ; his guitar is often vacuous and absent

    • @jaycareaga9929
      @jaycareaga9929 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They do sound check even rehearsing songs which is interfering with Totos sound check.
