The Video is very well done and this dude seems to be super nice. The APC mini has a huge flaw that it doesnt have the sessionview//the feature to move more than one scene per click. Everybody is pretty angry about that..since it wouldnt have a big issue to implement this feature. Nearly every person I know moves is live set only in steps of 5//8 scenes at once depending if you use apc40 or launchpad...if you play your liveset top to bottom it doesn really matter but if you want the bottom track as a second track you have sooooo much clicking to do.. this is really a downside everything else is pretty good for a price of 99€. And I still use because of weight issues with some airlines and it saves me 2KG and a lot of space..
+Synthematix I have a launchpad mini that iI have been using (replaced my old apc-20)and just go this (for 50 bucks on a black friday deal) I have to say that the apc mini is way more intuitive in the usage than the launchpad- but I think I am still going to use the launchcontrol xl as an accompaniment to it.

I very much enjoyed the bit you did recently and thought that it would be nice to see a whole show dedicated to the topic of midi gtr with a more in depth look at the gr series and the fishman triple play and whatever else might be out there.
a look at how it records would've been nice. is there a masterrecord button or would you have to midi assign that? also when you're in clip record mode does it automatically stop recording on another track if you've shift+recorded them?
Would I be able to assign sounds from my computer to the keys on the board, and could I use the sliders to change the volume of the assigned key when its pressed. Would this keep the settings for that key, so if I turned off the sample and went to another section of the board, clicked a key, changed the volume of that sample and then came back would the settings for the original key be the same as they were when I left, or would they change to suit my adjustment on the board. Really need help, thanks.

Smoggy Williams you have a shift button on it, if you want to control the fader to be used as send, you need to hold the shift and select send, This applies for volume,pan and device.
Bit harsh, I think the APC mini and the Launchpad mini (which are similar in price) both have strengths and weaknesses. Launchpad mini can be used for drums and as a keyboard, the APC mini has faders, take your pick...

just ordered one and i can tell you these things are amazing its much better than a launchpad, the included software downloads are VERY good too.

Yes i think the apc has a better workflow and more even coloured leds

No it isnt you cant use drum racks with it
it has no velocity control, you can still use it for drums or sample or controlling amplitube if you map it that way.

I'm not sure there is anything to reset. All the settings are not user editable as far as I know? Fixed midi assignments.

The apc mini is shit, do not buy it!!!, the shift is very time wasting!!!, personally I prefer using the launchpad instead of the apc mini.
