@@aljawad leaks have it pegged to crush Zen3 in single thread performance, and equal or exceed the higher tier Ryzen in multi core. That is the i7 12700k will beat the Ryzen 7 5800x and be close to if not exceeding the Ryzen 9 5900x. The i9 will similarly be close to if not exceeding the 5950x. Maybe trade blows.
That's insane given how far behind Intel was with comet lake and then even rocket lake.
Yes it won't be as efficient as m1 but 10nm(with the latest iteration of transistor improvememts on Alder Lake now being Intel 7) is working, and it appears 7nm (now Intel 4) is working too, they taped out meteor lake. M1 for all it's efficiency can't hold a candle to the raw multi core grunt of the 5950x in most tasks although I know m1 has certain coprocessors and emulators especially for video. So if Intel can really trade blows with the 5950x, that's really good for competition.
Either way, no matter what happens with m1x/m2 (which I'm waiting for by the way), Intel is no longer standing pat anymore. Intel appears to be coming back.

5:47 as someone who used a Windows 2-in-1 for years, I completely agree. They’re not good at being tablets because they’re heavy and thick and Windows is terrible for tablets. As a result, you only use it as a laptop and waste money for that useless tablet functionality.
Same here, I own 2 in 1, touch screens experience sucks. I don’t own a McBook BTW, only have used Windows.

I used a laptop with a touchscreen at my previous job. "Used" the touch screen once when I accidentally touched it, never used it again ever since. Though I saw some colleagues using the touch screen with smudges all over them, it was disgusting. 😂

its creatives... i used to own one as well but while i enjoyed working on it , windows isn’t well optimized for touch screens

Worst part, they are still having problems on catching the M1 performance in Laptops, and now, they have to deal with the whole package you can get with M1 Pro/Max in a laptop, not even a Desktop.

I'm definitely a Windows OS kind of guy but there's no point in going PC unless you want a nutty gaming desktop. Apple absolutely kills the competition with everything else; laptops, tablets, phones etc. That's why I'm full-on Apple ecosystem except for my PC, kinda funny I guess 🤷♂️

Im a windows user for more than a decade, but i was spoiled by how good and reliable macOS is, everything seems so effortless, i still own a windows device for gaming purposes, obviously, and one thing i hate most about windows is the os stability, i mean, suddenly losing a driver I already installed is just bonkers, how can something like that even happened?

Exactly! I use apple products for their OS not the hardware. I own a separate PC to game, like everyone else. As Sam said, most people don't even know about their ram, or any customization of their computer. They just buy the device, mainly for the looks and OS.

I had a chromebook that folded, and I never used tablet mode. The only computer that really makes sense as a 2 in 1 is a Surface Pro or Surface Laptop Studio.
