    I still remember watching the interview of VP WW Product Marketing of Apple about folding phone. He said that we don’t think ourselves is a tech company. We think ourselves a product company, and products are a combination of technologies design, their software, the hardware, their services all together. When we think about building our next product, it’s not in service of using a specific technology or another it’s about creating and delivering value for our customers in a particular way, and we will always go to the ends of the earth to find the best technology and service of a product idea. We won’t let it go the other way around. we don’t go chasing the latest here. we go and try and build a specific product and then find the technologies that will allow us to do that in the best way possible.

      Hmmm , i dunno mate , if you look at owners reviews , there are a lot with screen issues , even latest model ones ,
      and only recently a young bloke was showing off his fold 4 to me , and the plasticky screen protector they have to be equipped with was quite scratched up and covered in grease( looked disgusting ) , and not one hour ago i watched a fold four review which the owner mentioned the filthy greasy mess the screen becomes in just a short bit of use and that it needs cleaning all the time .
      To me the mere fact you have to put up with a crease is a huge downer on its own , the lack of a proper glass screen with a decent oleophobic coating is another huge downer , add to that the narrow front screen , no proper place for an S pen , no SD card like all the watered down galaxys these days , no headphone jack , and no accessories in the box for an alleged flagship that costs how much lol .
      And i could go on.
      Not sure if serious samsung .
      I used to be a sammy boy and was happy to buy the older proper high end galaxys of which i had 4.

    As a teen I USED to use samsung and loved it… but Apple just always had features that MATTER. I never owned a Samsung but my mom and dad bought their Note 3’s back when it released in 2012 and kept it until today.
    The phone was great because it had things that were helpful… we didn’t need all the extra unnecessary things like Foldable phones or Multitasking the way Samsung does it now.
    The reason why Apple is so successful is because they’re simple and give you what you need. The display is highly color accurate, the OS is really nice to use, you get a great ecosystem with iMessage, FaceTime, Airdrop, etc, and one great thing about the display is that the Samsung uses 1080p for their base models… but Apple keeps ALL their iPhones on a higher FullHD+.
    Apple does things the way people expect to use a device. A phone is supposed to be a device used for calls and texts… same way a computer is used for work in schools, Offices, homes, etc. Laptops, used by college students for “on the go” homework, office work, etc.
    Every device has a function and it’s not a phone’s job to be Foldable, or have extra zoom💀 We all just need an acceptable camera, a great processor for usage, a good display that portrays what the media can, and good battery that keeps a longer lasting device. Apple knows this… that’s why they’re highly used in the US.

    • @saikoro8620
      @saikoro8620 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ima just add something real quick: displays aren‘t about the resolution, but more about the PPI (pixels per inch). you could have a 720p display which still is plenty sharp. And in that regard, samsung is no worse than apple, both offering 400-500 PPI on their models (except for the iPhone SE, but as an iPhone SE user the 326 PPI don‘t bother me at all)

    • @matiasmuttoni9044
      @matiasmuttoni9044 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@saikoro8620 SO TRUE. Apple uses Ppi as more of a universal measurement rather than just a subtle addition. For example the SE uses that amount since the phone is smaller. Having a smaller display, Apple’s ideology is that the smaller the display is, the closer the screen will be to our eyes.. the bigger the display, the further it’ll be from our eyes.
      So Samsung offers the Ultra in 6.7inches at 500PPI but Apple offers the iPhone Max and Plus models at the same height but with 460PPI… Apple’s idea is that we won’t focus too much on the pixels, but more on the content.. while Samsung tries to be more precise, which isn’t what we always need.

      @saikoro8620 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@matiasmuttoni9044 look at computers. you‘d never realize that your 1080p laptop has 200-ish ppi, because it is further away from our eyes. phones on the other hand are closer, thus need to have more ppi. I think you got it wrong, or i misinterpreted your statement

    How come phone does not reliably identify phone numbers in website text? Am I doing something wrong?
    How come auto fill only shows up sometimes?
    I do miss having the back button and the double click the side button for camera from a sleeping phone (way way way faster than the Lock Screen shortcut)
    These are honest questions.

    Samsung is like Hyundai. Besides both being Korean, they both always try to be at the forefront of the industry, they both will shit at the wall just to see what sticks. They try to lean on innovation and features while suffering from bad software and poor efficiency. Both of their products have been known to randomly catch on fire. Despite being statistically impressive, they both often lose in head to head comparisons. People with limited budgets tend to be attracted to both, and then they try to act as though they bought it as a choice.
