I never owned an iphone and I don't plan on ever changing that. But it feels like they could show the sickest feature in the world and xqc would still hate it just because it's apple.

I actually like the 14 pro, the dynamic island actually looks like a sick UI feature. Instead of having a notch that just takes up space this at least merges UI and hardware to work together
The only thing I’d be worried about as a prospective buyer is whether the Island actually takes up way more real estate than the notch. The integration is really cool, but 16:9 video might be fried.

I always liked Apple because it’s so user friendly like I don’t like feeling like I’m on my pc when I’m using my phone but I do wish they let you do as much with files as Samsung does
Yea i also like how apple pushing standarts for people instead of competing in numbers. For example apple's health app and apple home. While in android you have to download 30+ apps for home automation, on iphone it can be done with single app. As a dev i really respect that, makes developing easier

@@MrKevCoan i use lights, sensors, air purifer and vacuum cleaner in it. Also for my aquarium fish automation (air compressor, thermo etc). Ofc via home assistant bridge with some custom made intergrations

I have to say as stupid as the name is. Dynamic Island blew me away. Don’t know why it wasn’t done before by Samsung. The display and processor and even cameras seems insane as well. Does look like a very solid phone.
apple for the most part makes solid products, upper echelon in whatever category their products are supposed to be in. However I believe they are slightly overpriced, and thats it. I dont think they are really the best at anything, but far from the worst in everything. Ive had a 13 pro for like 5 months and various android phones for all previous years

And the s22 ultra is actually cheaper, when you compare the same storage capacity ones. But yes, the 512gb s22 ultra is more expensive than the 128gb 14 pro max. And about the resale value... im not sure if youre talking about private sales because i dont remember the last time i did or anyone i know did one of those. If youre talking trade-in value, id present my experience trading in a 3 year old busted LG phone and i got $400 for it, and i also paid $400 for it new. Again id like to emphasize that iphones are NOT bad phones in any way

I find it funny they try and make the Dynamic Island actually have use. The notch is the most hated part of the Iphones and they trying to come up with a plan to basically have some use. Its like they just dont want to copy Samsung becuz of how good Samsung and other Androids have it. That was also the main feature they tried to display and its pretty funny lol. @paradox you do gain a benefit, my Samsung Galaxy A51 5G was mad slow in under a year while my iPhone XR is still going strong so yes performance does matter on a phone, plus more software support which I’m glad the Android ecosystem is doing more and more now.

These phones look absolutely amazing. However, I am going to stick to samsung due to the ability to use apk files for software development. If Iphones had compatibility with apk files, they would be absolutely perfect to me.

iPhones will most likely never have anything like ask files unless forced by law (which would be stupid) because you can easily get your phone infected with virus' through unsafe apps downloaded from an apk. While on an iPhone you can only download verified apps from the App Store.

It's a brand new phone for $250 and it's amazing value for money. 8-core processor, 8GB of RAM 256GB storage. Camera is decent too for the price and it has amazing battery life

I love when people shit on Apple for doing “old” features late. Their always on display is 1Hz and shows your whole screen…Do you understand how different that is?
I mean Android have traditionally used a black screen as it allow them to fully turn off the pixels which save more battery with the few pixels that are on being at 10/24hz depending. I would think using all the pixels at 1hz vs a few at 10hz would be negligible for battery, which is why I would like apple to allow you to have a similar style if you choose. Not to mention the new S22 ultra uses the new Samsung LTPO panel which also has a 1hz variable refresh, and gets around Apples patent lol.
That does justify it being a scam.

@@TheWalf999 That’s due to a completely different chip not really the AOD. Phones that use Snapdragon or Exynos have chips that are fundamentally different than Apples. Namely they are more focused on power, to work in all types of phones, rather than efficiency. Apple only need their chip to work in iPhones.

Not really, this is a much different always-on display than the ones on Samsung phones, where almost the entire screen stays open (and probably just as efficient as if it almost all of the pixels were fully closed with just a couple of them on for the clock on an older and less efficient display). Just because on paper it is an "always-on display" doesn't mean they copied Samsung, Apple was even the first to bring the LTPO tech that enables these OLED panels to scale down to a 1Hz refresh rate to the market with the Apple Watch in 2019 lol (which had Apple's first always-on screen on any phone). Sure the always-on idea is the same as on Samsung and other phones but they improved on it enough that you shouldn't really blame them for "copying".

Megapixels dont really mean much, phones that came out years ago had like 100mp cameras but they never stuck around, all companies went down with mp and insteae upgraded their software
mate, apple has been using 12mp sensors since the iphone 6s and just stopped using them, and they always took the best photos and specially video. even some high end video cameras use 12 and 16 megapixel sensors
Did you consider if you need those 48mp cameras? Most companies add all the crap to their phones just to say they have those features rather than actually waiting for the best technology to integrate these features.
Bruh android phones have 108 MP and snap the worst pics known to man. Watch some of Mr. Whosetheboss's camera comparisons. Google pixel and Apple's 12 mp have consistently matched 64 MP shit for years.
More MP = Better quality is a myth on smartphones because most companies cant utilise it well (OnePlus). What matters is the processor and software side of the camera department.
