Awesome, I have been designing mine - with almost the same concept. I want to fit my ATV underneath. Thanks for posting, awesome to see one done. Motivated.
Thanks, let me know if you need any help. I am glad you got to see my tent trailer. It isn't near as cool as yours. You built yours yourself. Way cooler!
That is exactly why I have it. I have a truck and camper with a car trailer to haul my toys and Jeep, but sometimes I just want to bounce around with one quad and to it with my Jeep. This worked out awesome.
Thank you, I am not exactly sure of the specific size, but it is a Smittybilt XL if you would like to look up more info on the actual tent. Thanks for watching and for commenting.
Thanks for the nice comment. It is a valid question. I want to preface by saying that I love it, but if I could change anything. I would make the posts that hold the tent up about an inch or two higher. My quad doesn't quite fit withough folding down the handle bars. If I leave the tail gate down I can put it in backwards. But if I get it too close to the tent then the grips rub on the bar and get holes. I would like it if the quad fit without lowering the handle bars. Also The trailer is a 4x8 landscape trailer and my quad is 4x7 so you get one shot at loading it, and when you get it in there of which I usually just back it in now, it just fits in. I can't back it in all of the way or my head will get ripped off by the bars that hold the tent. I deal with it and it really isn't that bad, but to sum things up, I would have made the over hang slightly taller and I wish I would have used a 5x8 trailer. That said the 4x8 loaded with the quad and camping gear does look like it was specially made for the Jeep. Lastly is just cosmetic. I kind of want to remove the mesh all of the way around and replace it with diamond plate aluminum. The mesh grates allow so much dust to get in. You may not have that issue if you don't live in Arizona. Lastly, the tongue is a box, but the to bars that go from the tongue back on each side are just angle. I want to box those up and add a nice jack. I don't have a tongue jack and they are not strong enough to add one. So I have to use the stabilizer jack to get the tongue off of the hitch. I know that sounds like a lot, but it is really small potatoes. If you watch a lot of my videos, you see I use it quite a bit, and I really do love it. I would tell you more cool things about it, but you watched this video, so you already know. Let me know if I can do anything to help your build. On last thought. I am on the fence if I like the soft tent or not. I mean compared to a hard top tent. I love the room of the soft tent, but I think a hard tent might be more durable in the long run. Not that this hasn't been awesome, but on of the buttons that holds the ladder up is missing so it is kind of wonky now. , and I always worry camping in the cold that my heater might melt the roof. It hasn't happened and it is probably fine, but the roof gets pretty hot at night. Sorry for such a long reply, but I love gabbing about my tent trailer almost as much as I love camping in it. haha. Thanks again for watching.
It pulls no issues with the Jeep. I mean honestly the biggest issue is stopping. You will want to give some more space than usual for stopping. My TJ has a 4.0L straight 6 also. Don't get the wrong idea, it isn't horrible to stop or scary or anything, just that the trailer doesn't have trailer brakes, so you can feel it back there, but it really isn't a problem. I really love the set up; Thanks for watching.

Let me know if you have any questions or need any measurements. Good luck, and keep us posted on your progress.
Exactly what I have planned, just not as high. I also want to enclose the lower part. This is my summer plan next summer :)
Would love to see the project. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Good job , I’m thinking of reworking my trailer to a similar setup.

Nice 👍 and lots of room for the toys 😎

So what’s the size of the actual tent? Nice set up

Cool setup 👍👍👍👍😎
Thanks, I can't wait to see your upcoming van build!
Awesome build. I am doing one myself.if you could go back and change anything on it. What would you do different?

How does it pull with the Jeep? What size motor do you have? I have a 74 CJ5 straight six.
