As a anthropology student this is a first for me to see petroglyphs in Fiji & I do personally wonder if these are legitimate petroglyphs & how far they possibly date back, but I appreciate and am quite intrigued by your video. Bula and welcome to the channel! 😃 The purpose is to uncover the histories of Fiji and the Pacific. These petroglyphs have been documented in a Fiji Museum journal article in 1988. They are legitimate because they’re consistent with creating rock carvings in volcanic rock using basalt on andesite surfaces as well as local village legends and stories.
