    Hey Family. The flight I’m sure a lengthy experience. Enjoyed both of your resorts for different reasons. Wonderful reminder about sun exposure while on the jet skis. Love your to the point videos. Figi, Maldives, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam , Italy, Spain, Greece, France and more on my bucket list. I see now I traveled too often to the Caribbean. There’s a whole world out there to see and my time is running out. So truly appreciate vlogs such as yours. Thanks for sharing and see you next video.

    I will recommend Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort. It's a very beautiful resort at Denarau Island. Night clubs are nearby for nighters and a peaceful place for vacation. I have worked here last year (2022) as a chef and let me tell you food is great and so is the staffs. Everyone's enjoyment and satisfaction was considered before they opened the resort in Feb 2022. I was one of the Pre-opening team. I am proud of gaining my experience there.

    Just extra information for you. You will never need a air conditioner if you in a Bure. A bure is a traditional house built to its traditional style where is the weather is cold the Bure will be warm but if the weather is hot the Bure will be cool. It's roof is woven in a way to counter weather pattern.

    My son and family went to Fiji his 2 year old boy was having the best time, and had his own nanny that he love the second he sad her he loved and sat in her lap it’s the vibe that attracts the tribe
    The first thing they do in the morning is call my grandson name out and he would have the biggest smile knowing that his going to have a ball he loves dancing and Fijian are the most humble loving friendly, caring and kind, they love from their heart and you can feel the warm tender love they have for everyone
    no matter where you go in Fiji it’s beautiful. my son only went for 10 days and now wants to buy a home there

    How did you travel from one island to another? Ferry? Or did you have to fly?

  • @ChrisSydneyAUS
    @ChrisSydneyAUS ปีที่แล้ว +11

    Having been to Fiji many times I feel that the info you provided is a little “light” and not too comprehensive. For starters, Nadi is pronounced “Nandee”. Secondly, resorts on the main island are very westernised and do not really represent the real Fiji. Instead, highly recommend the Mamanuca or Yasawa Islands which are both a chain of island to the west of Fiji. These are far, far nicer that those big concrete resorts on the mainland, and the beaches, people, and surroundings much more “Fiji”. The JMC resort you did visit was close to the mark, but is a overly polished (westernised) version of the island resorts. Lastly, I noticed you were sponsored by Fiji airways, which is why you conveniently only mentioned them and their partner airlines. There are stacks of other airlines which should be considered.
    Ultimately, Fiji is about the people, and we have noticed that the “real Fiji” is far better experienced on one of the smaller Islands. Families should try Malolo Island Resort or Castaway Resort (part of the Mamanuca Islands - pronounced “Mamanutha” - C is pronounced as “th” in Fiji) which are far more “Fijian” than the JMC resort that you visited).
    Keep up the travels and reviews.

      Remember lockdowns just opened and most of USA opened late to do with Tourism adventures. Be nice they still afraid to travel far as a family after all those BLM BULLSHIT PROPAGANDA 2020 2021 RUBBISHING THE DOWNTOWNS OF USA STATES.
      CANNOT FORCELINE YARAYARA THE TOURISTS LET THEM CHOOSE WHERE IS SAFER FOR THEM FOR THE TIME BEING AND SLOWLY THEY FEEL CONFIDENT AND VENTURE OUTWARDS MORE OKAYYYYYYYY IS THAT CLEAR TO YOU.
      BE NICE. THEY MORE WORSE IN 2020 2021 THAN US IN FIJI ISLANDS ALL GOTTA THINK OF EACH OTHER YOU KNOW.

    • @dimereseininrobbyravouvou2855
      @dimereseininrobbyravouvou2855 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah jobs were affected in most hotels resorts air bnbs and other accommodations of Tourism Industry in Fiji and other countries as well. Just be nice make it safer for them as they traveling as families. It is hard not easy bouncing back after all those ridiculous lockdowns and whatever whatever.
      You all going to be okay Tourism international arrivals picking up slowly. Might be can use the resorts for University Tourism studies lectures during off peak season in some months. Or for any other type of festivities for local tourists as well.
      Just market it properly you be all okay again even though you lost a lot of kachings 2020 2021. Like whose fault right yeah Nobody's fault just a time of ridiculous thinking and chaoticness. So love each other and keep on keeping on.

      What do you mean "the beaches, people, and surroundings much more “Fiji”?

    • @ChrisSydneyAUS
      @ChrisSydneyAUS 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Law19157 What I mean is that some of the resorts - such as those on Denarau - are simply cut-and-paste copies of American beach resorts (the type you would find in Hawaii, Bali, Phuket, etc. An over-use of concrete, swim-up bars, and breakfast buffets. Some people like this - and I am not denying that they are good, if that’s what you are after - but they don’t give you the same sense of “Fiji” as some of the smaller island resorts do. Malolo, for example, is family owned and staffed by people from the nearby village. Many working there have been working there for 20+ years, so are familiar faces (hence their greeting “welcome home” when you arrive). The larger resorts, though, complete for workers with other larger resorts, and the staff are more transient, and service somewhat “colder”. Just my personal preference - but I love the smaller island resorts.
