Love the Bandit. I had a gorgeous 650 in black a few years back. Quite pleased I've only got drum brakes on the back of my ER5, I know they're no where near as effective but it's all the ER really needs.
@@motorcyclerescuer absolutely! I'm having trouble with one of the two mounting threads on the front caliper at the moment so I'm definitely not best friends with disc brakes right now 😂
Found the issue right at the end of filming on Sunday. A silly little crimp connector that attaches to the coil. It looked perfectly normal yet fell clean off at the end of the day. Leading me to believe that it was only really holding on by a thread for a while
One of the crimp connections fell of at the end of the day. One that goes onto the coil. So it wasn't getting the 12v properly. I think it may be solved. Fingers crossed
Hi Steve, cool little bikes but fairly complex as they used a chipped key like a lot of modern bikes. If the key or cdi gets damaged they become a touch of a pain. Worth doing if it has spark and that system is working though mate
@@motorcyclerescuer no . If it was running I would but been sat 10 years could be a night mare . Its from a second hand motorcycle dealer they would have tried to start it
I was thinking that the pilot jet is running to rich as I up jetted it by 2. The bike likes half and full throttle but dosnt like first 3rd. I'll try down jetting it again and see if that helps. Any suggestions otherwise Colin? Cheers mate

Honestly, I love the simplicity of drum brakes Stuart. They are sealed and last for years. In some ways they are a better design then calipers.

You can cut a bolt down if you need to. I think you have one in the post don't you?
@@motorcyclerescuer You can use nail varnish for thread lock, I find it better than loctite.
No way, that's crazy. I've never heard of that before.
To be fair I rarely use lock tight but that's a great tip..
Stick a volt meter on regulator & coil lead Charlie, just for peace of mind....unless your happy they're working.

I always find back brakes a pain as well👍
Its the angle. If you don't introduce air then your all good. But many times I do by mistake lol
@@motorcyclerescuer me too😂

You can burp the brakes, if the brakes are mineral oil you can use baby lotion 😂🙏, I could wheelie that bandit down the road 🏍 👮😇🚓
Lol, I like bandits overall but think I'm over them after owning so many over the years.
It's on ebay if you want to have a look . If it was running I would have bought it
Are you not bothering with it?
I've found a cheap little next project. It should be fun

@@motorcyclerescuer I've asked if they will take 175 if yes I'll buy it
I read that. Its the £250 one isn't it. It will need everything doing and probably isn't worth it Steve.
@@motorcyclerescuer yes red 1 won't budge of 200 so will leave I will cost more to do up than its worth
Sounds like pilot jet is only taken fuel in Charlie liking the suzuki bandit.
