I've been using Xiaomi's Roborock S50 for about 3 years now. And the experience has been great. My apartment is about 2000 sqft and it covers every nook and corner of the place without any problem. Of course you can't expect the Vacuum cleaner to do a job similar to a human doing it, but it does clean pretty well. I've been using the Mi Home App for operating it and it works pretty well without any connection issue (maybe because I am using a German server for the app). I've ordered the new model during the crowdfunding stage. Can't wait to get my hands on it.
One point which was missed out in the review: The water container that comes along with this vacuum also contains a dustbin included. That means it is a hybrid which could be used for both vacuuming and mopping and you don't have to swap out the containers.
But for the small areas where the device can't encroach, it does a neat job of dust suction and wet mopping. Disadvantages are a few...every time after the use, dust collector compartment needs to be cleaned with a brush and a soft cloth. Mop pad has to be rinsed immediately. If the floor has different elevations device needs to be physically lifted and placed. It's like a typical maid, not 100% efficient but still worth having one. More so for working couples.
You can use it without the app and wifi connection if you want to, it works perfectly well that way too. All you need to do is press the power button once and it will start cleaning.
So there is no chance to remotely start cleaning process without wifi? Or i can set it up once and run it offline? Im looking for robot with some kind of integral memory. Asking coz im using hotspot
@@rzeczniknasa7449 you can try to setup scheduled cleaning using the app, but I don't know if it would also need wifi or some sort of internet connectivity.

*The best thing about this cleaner is that no need to worry about placing it on charge. It Automatically goes in the charging dock.*
It is made to do that but mine refuses to go back. It tries but cannot find the dock.

Thanks for a detailed review! I have a question here, though... You said that there's an issue when the device goes outside the wifi comfort zone. Now, does it stop working at this point, gets stuck, refuses to work or just becomes difficult to track via app when it's out of wifi connectivity?

Guys do you also have the issue that it forgets which rooms it should be cleaning in the scheduled cleanup? All firmware and app are latest versions.
Looks there will be more delay in shipment..as per Xiaomi now they will start shipping from December.any other alternatives?

Is the volume of the unit really low? Even if I set to 100% is not as loud as the 1st generation Xioami Vacuum Robot that I got to use.

You are totally right regarding the app and the connection bugs. I have the cleaner since the begging of the lock down and would be completely satisfied with it if this issues would improve.
Constantly loosing connection, getting confused about room location and forgetting house map 😔

I got mine delivered today. Had a surprisingly bad experience with the MiHome app. Only thing I was able to do was setup the wifi on my vacuum mop but then no map, nothing except a blank screen with 3dots. Even after a long long delay in shipment Mi has shipped a buggy product.
This is worrying. Mine is on the way and I'm eagerly waiting for it. Which server do you connect to in the Mi Home app? The India server or the Singapore server? Maybe try with the Singapore server.
I also received the product one week before. Map is not being saved.
My robot after I had set-up with my broadband wifi keep loosing his connectiong after some minutes. Do you know what can I do? I already tried to restart and set-up everything again and nothing changed.

Floor cleaner: Technically it is ok. But whether it affects the vacuum cleaner on the long term is not clear. We need to see.
Corners and Wall touching floor sides: Yes it does and that too pretty well.
Hair gets entangled: Unfortunately yes. But it does not really affect the vacuums operations unless you don't clean it for quite sometime. What I do is once in 2 weeks or so I take out the brushes on the vacuum and clean it.

Sir, I placed the order in June and they had mentioned on their ad post on MI store that shipping is going to begin from 15th September 2020.
After i contacted the Cc executive on chat support and Facebook their very common reply was this :
Hi Satyavrat, due to circumstances beyond our control, there will be a delay in the shipment of Mi Robot Vacuum Mop-P. The product will now be shipped to all customers by 1st December 2020.
We deeply regret the inconvenience caused. We are trying our best to get the product to you at the earliest.

If you do only gaming, go for the 10900K. Anything else, go for the 3950X

I don't seem to able to get it working. It starts, but returns right back to the docking station saying "Please place the vacuum-mop on the floor". I've tried to restart it, polish its' wheels and everything, what on earth am I doing wrong?
