I’m moving to Chicago in august and looking at purchasing my first boat. For safety sake what would you say are good boat options under 30k that would be safe for offshore fishing? I’m looking at a stabicraft 1550 fisher but it’s pricy and seems small for the price. But also seems very safe. I’d like to be able to cross Lake Michigan with the wife if we wanted. So I don’t want a boat that’s even borderline sketchy. I’m finding I may need to raise my budget but figured I’d ask you guys
From Winthrop over to the Michigan shore it’s just under 80 miles so you would be wise since you’ve never owned a boat for LM to do your homework. I don’t think you understand what that lake can do to you in a small boat especially wanting to cross it.
Awesome podcast, lots of good info
Great info! It would be helpful to touch on safety and communication equipment. Not a fun topic. But worth it's weight in gold when needed
Great podcast guys! Very informative.
Much appreciated!
Good stuff guys!!!
I ran up to 15 lines off my 20' Cobia with good organization and placement! We would typically run 9-12 depending on how many guests I had on.
nice!
Looking for 18' boat that will fit in standard garage 7' door 22' deep ?
