@@aliensandstrangers Very cool guitar shop. My mom owned one and eventually she closed it. There is nothing better than a great shop with a family feel to it with regular customers who are taken care of with special treatment and services. Cindy seems to have enjoyed it very much.🎸🎸👽🛸😊
I like this guy, Ms Cindy. Appreciate you introducing us. He has some store policies that are very appealing, such as a free setup and shipping. I’ll be shopping at his store online. I love the story behind the name. It’s my favorite NT verse and provides perspective on our journey. Great upload, ma’am 👍🏻
The owner is wonderful. He said he has many other products on line. Here is a store you can trust and his setups are impressive and perfection! I am still shocked where it is located! This was so much fun!!
Thanks, we are in search of the unique, small privately owned Guitar store. Who would believe there is one in the middle of nowhere called Aliens and Strangers. The nicest people you would ever want to meet!! And Guitars that won’t break the bank but sound absolutely wonderful. Thanks for listening in!
What a great find! Every shop should include a setup and free shipping. Even Sweetwater doesn’t do that. It is tough for small shops to have to account for shipping for smaller purchases, but it makes for repeat customers. I mean, even Sweetwater charges like $99 for a setup . . . and they don’t even include a set of one’s preferred strings as part of the cost. In fact, they make customers buy a three pack of strings and then use one set and ship the other two with the guitar. Shouldn’t a setup include at least one set of strings? I can understand if a small shop providing a free setup might charge a bit for the strings, but the man didn’t even say they charge for a set - not sure if you get a choice of the strings you like, but even if you don’t get to pick, that’s way more value than SW is offering as far as setups go. Oh, and they charge extra to install parts like tuners, pickups, etc. - if someone buys parts and/or a setup, why shouldn’t those items be installed for free? And if I told you what they charge to install each type of part in addition to the base setup (they have a price list with approximate costs), you’d faint. I’m willing to bet this shop is not overcharging for these installation services - I’m sure there is some cost involved for the time, but it’s probably very fair. I wonder how warranties on instruments are handled at this shop and whether it’s just the manufacturer coverage or anything else above that. Does the customer have to deal with the manufacturer directly if there are any issues, or can this shop provide warranty service by mail? That’s one major benefit from Sweetwater- they go to every length to provide warranty services at no cost to the customer (including the shipping). If they offer the same type of warranty service as Sweetwater, I think this would be a heck of a great place to buy from - there’d literally be no excuse not to buy from this small shop if they offer as much or more value as much larger competitors. Way to find some neat guitars (and a banjo) to show us! That Ibanez will make a great donation.
The thing I notice about this small business is it has big attitude when it comes to customer satisfaction! You won’t get that from Amazon or other huge stores. One the Acoustic Music Store in Salt Lake the customer service is a prime value! I love these stores!! Thanks again for your thought provoking comments ❤️
This is a great store! WOW, what a neat way to turn scripture into a name of a store! Love that you are donating that guitar to southern churches, I’ve never thought to do something like that…. My husband has been on several missions trips to Phillipi West Va and it’s sad to say that some of our own citizens live in abject poverty. We are so blessed, not to have one, but several guitars. Thank you again for taking us along!❤
I did not really spend enough time with that that unique instrument. I really liked it too! Easy and fun to play. It has the potential to put out some major sound. I enjoyed this store immensely. It is a refreshing oasis of interesting instruments and supplies! The owner and staff are awesome too. Thanks for listening in❤️
@@guitarnotionsI love mine and always recommend it as the most perfect travel-guitar ... It weighs almost nothing and you have seen the gig-bag that is included when he hangs the guitar back in place ...
I have a YAMAHA THR -30 and love it. I BT my IPad to it and play to backing tracks that I make with Garage Band or backing tracks off of TH-cam. It even hooks up to my IPad and lets me control it through my IPad. Can’t say enough good things about it. When people ask me what THR stands for I tell them The Hot Rod👍😎👍
Yamaha makes some amazing electronics stuff, especially the electric guitars that they make now. You got me interested in that Silent Yamaha , I like the sound of what you played on it n its light 👍🏻🎸☮️
It is a really cool instrument. Totally unexpected. It worked quite well. Needed more time with it to get more comfortable understanding what it can do 😀
Some nice guitars there, but so frustrating for me. You stood next to so many gorgeous yamaha acoustics and didnt play any. Yamaha is by far my favourite brand. Oh well, enjoyed the ones you tried anyway. Cheers. Very informative.
Is this day 3, the second guitarstore at your trip? They should be numbered, thinks a man who likes things in order.😊 Anyway I love your guitarsafari. It’s a bit wider than mine in Stockholm.😬
How was the action on the Ibanez? I’m thinking of getting a Yamaha fs830. The Ibanez had a really good sound and might be a little deeper. I have a Yamaha fg820 but I think a smaller guitar might be easier to handle. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
I absolutely loved both Ibanez I played yesterday . The Yamaha fg is a dreadnaught the Fs is concert. I prefer the smaller sized instrument but it will sound different from the dreadnaught but I think in a good way. Without playing the Yamaha it’s hard to compare… but if I was looking for an affordable guitar I would call Aliens and Strangers and get the small body Ibanez. It is really neat. He does a top notch setup and ships for free! The small body was around 300 Dollars. Thanks ❤️
Hello there. Now that would be an interesting study. But for now…and For $300 you get a great playing, great sounding instrument- I’d say it’s worth the risk especially since we don’t see hundreds of Ibanez failing. I wonder if there is a difference between thermo to and torrified. Thanks for sharing ❤️
It was a pleasure to have you both at the store. We all had a great time and so glad you dropped in.

Torrified top on the Ibanez. Mixed reviews. Some say it crystallizes the structure of the wood
