Nice vid... an advanced tip I use is I occasionally crash into walls on purpose to help turn faster or turn a battle my way, sometimes the best way to lose someone when they are aggressively chasing spamming boosts is to stop dead on a wall (taking a tiny bit of damage but less than being shot at) and then quickly getting off the wall and chasing down your aggresor turning the battle in your favour or allowing you to escape the fire fight (works best on towers and takes some practice to get off the wall quickly and not just stuck on it and killed in seconds) Hope you plan on covering the new Thornweaver class and Season 2: the Fate of Dragons when they drop on march 21st this month
I've seen this method used to incredibly good effect! I'm still mastering it myself; I currently struggle to control which direction I end up facing after a wall collision (which is vital if you're using it as a maneuvering strategy lol) I absolutely will be covering it! I might even be streaming it day one over on Twitch, so I'll be sure to announce that ahead of time!
@@DukeofDandy look forward to the updates and content. Yeah it's hard I still struggle a bit with it too and I've been practicing it for ages haha i find if you start to turn slightly toward the direction you want to go on hitting it is a bit easier imo
i just downloaded this game yesterday and i wasnt even able to win a single match...finally now i have some knowlage.and yeah if u can make a video on how to avoid being targeted and how to avoid attacks that would be great.
For a FTP game, it's definitely setting new standards for graphics and sheer amount of content! Especially considering it only just became available on all platforms.
Thanks for the guide! You explained in detail how to do everything except the dash drift and just showed the example. Is it done by dashing >brake>turn>dash again? Or just continue to hold the accelerate button? Do I turn and then brake? Unless I missed it, I'm still a little confused
Great question! So the trick to a speedy dash-drift is a little bit of all that you said. I usually go dash>brake tap>turn (all while holding down accelerate)>dash again. It's a timing trick, as you need to hold down accelerate while you tap brake and then double tap to dash the MOMENT you finish tapping brake to keep the quickest momentum going. You can actually begin turning before you tap brake to prep your angle for the drift, rather than waiting to turn until the exact moment you want to drift. Just tap brake when you're ready to make that turn sharper, and then prep the next dash to keep it going. Trial and error will be your best friend (memorizing the best routes between stamina regen points will be your second best friend lol). Hope this helps! Thanks for the great question and please let me know if you have any more! 🤜💥🤛
Good points. Hopefully it helps improve my game. I won all the beginner games, but have lost every game since. I just can't get away from people or catch up. :(
Thanks alot sub and like 👍 Just started playing on playstation 5 I really enjoy , yep playing with controller also , thanks for tips , wondered if you have motion blur on or off ?? And more vids plz 👍
Personally, I keep motion blur off in most games I play (better fps for my graphics card). Thank you! 😁👍 I'm glad you enjoyed the video, and you can definitely count on more to come! How smoothly does the game run on PS5? I've heard it's like a dream!
@@DukeofDandy Yeah it runs great , bought the pass ,will turn motion blur off , I've been playing on default, think I'd like an fov , probs asking to much but what great beautiful game 👍👍
Yup, that skin is awesome! And they extended season 1 until at least the end of December, so you have all the time in the world to unlock it! Just focus on beating those XP missions and you'll level up like crazy
This is really great video but is there a way to change the settings for the left analog? Like when i push up the dragon flies down and when i push down the dragon flies up? Anyway to change that?
Ayyyye! So glad you're having fun! The movement is so satisfying. The flight in the game was actually the reason I wanted to try it in the first place, and it has yet to disappoint me! Keep flying strong, Colin! 🐉
How did you fix the problem with the left and right stick? For me. The left and the right stick are always inverted. I can only move the body of the dragon normally, but the camera is inverted, or it's the other way around
@@DukeofDandy exactly, using the right stick for the camera makes the camera move down when I press up, and up when I press down, but the dragon itself moves correct with the left stick . I reserched some more and found out that the Game only has this problem with pro controllers. I just have to wait for a fix or I'll just keep using mouse and keyboard.
This game is kool, but I think the thing that MAY ruined it for me is know that on PC they have the X and Y sensitivity. On Console that option is NOT available. Makes cross platform useless. Same go with COD Warzone, PC got the POV option to have much better view vs console NOT an option.
Then I have good news for you! The sensitivity of each dragon's turn rate is a set metric, and isn't affected by the DPI or speed of the analog stick/mouse. In other words, with practice, console users can fly with as much speed and dexterity as mouse and keyboard users. Give it some practice and I think you'll see what I mean!
@@DukeofDandy no I understand the drift/turn and all but the sensitivity I would think affects the way you target? I’ve noticed that since on console there is no sensitivity using the fire breathe it is really difficult to put it on the target when they’re turning too fast. Ig the only way for console to work around that is using the break turning to allow one to aim better but that might be complicated idk, I’ll have to try it later

This control scheme reminds me a lot of StarHawk.
Do you play inverted vertical? I can’t seem to change my flying to inverted.
I sure do! You should be able to change to the inverted mode by going into the Settings > General menu.
Good suggestions for begginers

Yes, there is! Great question!
Just go to Settings > Controls, and then set the "Controller Y Axis Inverted" to ON.
im ready to zoom
What is the button to look back in ps4?
I believe it's R3 (click down on the right stick). That's how I do it on my Xbox controller.
